Dipping trap with Full Metal jacket over trap wax

I forgot to saw that I did my traps in speed dip probably 10 years ago and haven't trap since then. Traps have been in my attic above my garage in a plastic tote. Can I boil and just dip in full metal dip?

After I boil trap and just dip traps in Full metal jacket can I just use as is without dye?

This is my first year using FMJ. I dipped my coyote/wolf footholds in it like the instructions said. This is the first year I've ever had a coyote/wolf trap dug up when I bedded it down in the snow. I have had about %20-25 of my traps dug up since using it. This is also the first year Ive ever had a coyote/wolf refuse to step on my traps. I burry them in my snowmobile trails and the wovles/coyotes walk the trails and step on the traps. This is the first year Ive had wolves/coyotes stop in the trail about 1 foot from the trap, figure out the trap is there and then turn around and walk away from the trap. I've never had this happen before and the only difference is I am using FMJ for the first time. If I've used it wrong or there is something I'm not doing properly with it I'm all ears. Previous years I've boiled than waxed my footholds and never had these problems before.

Clint wen you dip them and make a catch. if you boil them in water do you have to dip them again after boiling them? and what do you use as a trapper full metal or die and wax ? thanks

I gotta ask.... Everyone on these groups and forums has a crowd that swears Zeps floor polish is the same thing..... Can you elaborate on what separates them??

that's what i did this year and its holding up great so far its my first time try fmj.
