Thank you for some excellent videos. I also have very good results with painted traps. I use a mixture of 25% Rustoleum primer, 25% Rustoleum paint and 25% acetone. The traps can be dipped easily and quickly with this solution. Easier, cheaper and quicker than spray painting. After you are finished you seal the container and reuse it next year. I talked to an engineer at Rustoleum about this procedure and finishing with the FMJ dip. He said that it will work well as long as the paint on the traps has a chance to cure before they are dipped in FMJ. He recommended at least 7 to 10 days to cure at a minimum. You did recommend letting them cure in the sun for a week or two. Thanks again for the trapping videos.

I like to spray paint all my traps, let them air out for 2-4 weeks, then coat them in Southern Snare's "Bullet Proof." (It's similar to FMJ.) Keep pumping out videos!

I don't understand how people get ODORS off traps with paint and FMJ? When boiling traps in logwood it removes the old odors and coats them with a natural smelling dye

The FMJ once cured is what removes all existing odors, it's literally odorless. No need for "natural smelling dye".
