What a nice surprise. Keep those Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits reactions coming. It is the high point of my day when you post a new video of them. I can see from your facial expressions and body language that you adore Mark. He is a gift to this world. I respect him. I know how hard he worked and what he gave up to achieve his dreams. I admire him because he stayed grounded, he does many things for charities, he donates massive amounts of money to causes he supports, he is a multi-talented (writer (lyrics and music), storyteller, singer, composer, guitar player, he always thanks his fans and tells them how much he appreciates them. I absolutely love him. He is beautiful inside and out. He turned 75 on August 12, 2024. He released 9 new songs on his birthday. They are from the album One Deep River. I have already listened to them 30 or 40 times. His voice is amazing on the album. So clear and strong. And what can I say about his guitar playing ? He is in a class of his own. As always excellent stories and lyrics. It is wonderful to see how much joy Mark spreads around the world. I think my favorite is Wrong 'Un. I reserve the right to change my mind.

Thank you both for sharing your listening experience, Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler are obviously absolutely brilliant, everyone agrees. There are still so many gems to discover in their repertoire, I really hope you do so and experience these emotions that Mark and his friends offer us through their magnificent music. I cry just thinking that Mark will inevitably leave us one day, leaving this indelible mark of his time among us. I think he is one of the most beautiful representatives of these angels who serve music, while some others use music for their personal benefit. Thank you for finally getting to this track: I've been waiting SO long for your reaction to this one! I'm a 'lady writer,' and this is one of their performances that I go to when I need a big smile from Mark and a bouncy musical uplift (as is also true of "Walk of Life"). He is certainly more playful and cheeky here; he has said in interviews that this was his favourite time with the band, when he and the original 'lads' were still in their earlier days. This is one of my faves, but it's often overlooked because it's shorter than some of the other tracks they are more widely known for, and as I said it's from before their massive 'commercial' success. Simpler times, simpler pleasures...☺. Made my day to see this reaction, thank you! 😁🙏

I got my first Dire Straits album when I was 8 years old. Now I am 51 and still listen to them frequently. Their music never gets old. I was fortunate to see them live in 1991. I still remember every minute of the concert. It was so unbelievably good. I saw all your reactions that you had regarding DS and love them all. You certainly have deep respect and a great understanding for what they have achieved. Looking forward to more of your Dire Straits reactions.

Thank you very much for this joyful reaction! Mark's incredible guitar playing and the enthusiasm he has is infectious. It seems Communiqué has always been the most overlooked album in Dire Straits' discography, but it is one of my absolute favourites. In fact, it is a probably a desert island record for me - every track is great.

I admire your passion for your band. I feel sorry for those who don’t feel that way about some kind of music. Dire Straits is a great band and Mark isn’t just extremely talented, but also a beautiful soul who is beloved by other musicians, as well as fans.
