I think I was around 8 when I heard Dire Straits for the first time. The Brothers in arms record combined with Roxy Music's Avalon made me want to play the guitar. My first real memory of music was hearing The Doors' "Indian summer" . It is forever burned into my mind.

The emotional impact of the voice and keyboard at the beginning of the song is of indescribable beauty, the sax's melodic phrase has a surreal feeling, the second part of the song with the dancing groove of the guitars is exciting and the Steel Guitar solo on the central theme was immortalized!

It was summer 2007, I was on vacation in the Philippines. My dad suggested play the On Every street album he had. I partly refused, since I didn't know the band. When I heard this, I loved it along with Heavy Fuel. Before my departure at the airport, I played it one last time in the car. The guitar lick always struck me.
