@@JeeGee114 You can't tell me Love Over Gold isn't a good album. Maybe not as good as Making Movies, that's up for debate but it's really good. ExtendeDancEPlay was really just filler so I'll give you that, it's definitely the least of what they released but then with Brothers In Arms you can't really fault it. Sure it sounds a whole lot different than their first couple albums or even Love Over Gold, and Walk Of Life is debatably annoying with the synth riff (though I like it to be quite honest it kinda reminds me of Industrial Disease meets Two Young Lovers, the live version from On The Night is better though) but even without Walk Of Life, the album is nuts and one of the best albums, if not the best album of 1985

I have been a diehard DS/MK fan since I first heard Sultans in 78. I saw DS live in 85 and then in 91. Seen MK live 5 times through the years. Tunnel of Love is by far my favorite DS song among many others. Im not partial to any single rendition, but this one sounds raw and stripped down compared to the classic Alchemy version (my favorite). I love the lineup here with Pick, John, Hal Lindes, and Alan Clark. May have been Pick's final year before he left the band. I read somewhere that MK doesn't play TOL because it was his Dad's favorite song and after he passed away, Mark says it's too hard for him to play. Luckily It forever lives on KZbin.

As much as I appreciate the music, I really appreciate how well filmed this was. There were nice long shots without the quick, herky-jerky editing of most music videos, the color was great, and the sound was very clear. It is so rare to get everything right as this video did. I have often wished this band had kept at it for a lot longer but I guess Mark needed to stretch his chops as a solo musician. For all his music, I am grateful.

This is brilliant. The first time I saw Dire Straits was at the Music Machine Camden Town 1978. Thank you.

Incroyable de réécouter ce morceau et la diversité de ses différents mouvements. C'est à chaque fois un nouvel univers musical qui s'ouvre. 12 minutes de bonheur. Et évidemment le bridge à 8 minutes
