Direct anterior hip replacements with JointPoint Navigation software are a minimally invasive approach to surgically correct hip pain from osteoarthritis. This video demonstrates the pre-operative, operative and post-operative process involved in helping a patient take her life back. Anterior hip replacements use a natural interval in the hip musculature to access the hip. This allows the surgery to be performed without detaching muscle and to allow for faster recovery time. In addition, the posterior capsule and hip external rotators remain attached, therefore reducing the risk of hip dislocation after surgery.
