A great counterattack from Duda as you say. Good to enjoy the rare occasions when Magnus loses. Thanks Daniel and keep up the good work.

Calrsen-Duda games! Dynamic and fascinating. Thanks for the coverage, as always!

I don't know what it is about Duda, but it's almost like we've seen this before. Magnus seems to have a very playable, if not advantageous game going and then he gets impatient, maybe overlooks something and then he loses. Not like it was easy or anything, but still it seems Duda has been giving him issues the past couple years. Wild game.

Excellent coverage of a double-edged game. Great win for Duda.

Rf8! clever move Carlsen in a semi-zugzwang position

I love your videos. They are the only reason I am still watching chess, but I really hate the board flipping. It is super confusing to me. I don't mind looking at the board from black's side, but after flipping the board I would need like 30s to adjust to the new sight. Thanks for considering!

You can’t please all of the people all of the time. You could always pause the video.

Totally agree. Breaks the pace. Hard enough to keep track of all sorts of calculations.

Agree. No flipping please.

@Mark Patterson what is this "pace" you speak of? It's a recording, not a live game! As Daniel said, you can always pause the video and look for a black's move from the white's perspective, if that's what you prefer. Personally, I *much* preferred the board flipping and looking for a move from the "natural" perspective (as if I were playing that game). So, for me, I would love it if Daniel continued to give us the perspective of the side whos move we're trying to find.

Classic game when you dont castle, even for the world champion. Easier to open the centre rather than the flank usually

Duda seems to be as good as Magnus at blitz. Which didn't make the world champ very happy to judge from his interview!

A bit of a lazy naive attack from Carlsen even for rapid play. I thought the core idea could be spiced with more intricate positional play for this to work.
@sebszab762 жыл бұрын
The g5 move was uncharacteristic from Carlsen. Lékó said immediately that g5 is impossible due to a standard theme, but Carlsen overlooked it. Actually he seemed to be trolling in the last few rounds as he was playing very provocative and dubious lines. However, when he really needed to win, he just did.

Please don't flip the board! It's somewhat confusing and doesn't help at all. For me it takes a little time to flip the board in my mind as well. But maybe that's the whole idea: To make sure we can't too easily figure out what to play?
@SpartanThe300th2 жыл бұрын
@Lau Bjerno I guess it's personal. To me, it really helped flipping the board when looking for a move from the perspective of the side whos move we were trying to find.
