Magnus has tremendous evaluation skills and that's largely developed after a zillion blitz games. There's little time to pick a position apart in detail, so one has to judge more wholistically. How good was White's Ne5 and Black's Re8? How good was White's Qh4 and Black's ...Qe6? These are the same kinds of comparisons Kasparov discussed. He called it "quality of the pieces".

The opponent didn't put up a fight. He played well but one whole minute more. It seems all correct until you go into the end game and THERE in 2 secs he DESTROYS the king fortress with a genius sacrifice of the rooks supported by the pawns structure on his left side. The opposite king had nowhere to go and he saw it in monuments 4 or 5 moves before. It is like being a martial artist then you meet the ultimate kungfu master that keeps up with your moves with one hand and then crushes you with a super fast secret unbeatable technique the first mistake you make. He crushes you.
@CashTeam126 күн бұрын

The only move for black to stop immediate checkmate here is sacrificing your queen for a bishop, everything else loses on the spot.
