The AR Drone 2.0 is only use WIFI the drone creates a wireless network, to which you connect your choice of control device. There are apps for both Android and iOS devices to control flight, and you can use either a phone or tablet, whichever you're most comfortable with.

Android coming soon September 2013 it's JULY 2016 now. 3 years 3 YEARS. EVeryone jump on and file a BBB complaint about this. Parrot North America like I did. We need to stand up.

Don't forget to update your firmware on your drone before trying to use the Director mode. Also, it would be nice if someone explained how the wind gadget works. Last but not least, in Director Mode and in the "hover" function, why does my Drone go up and down like a crazed elevator?

It's great but in no way you can call that pro simply because it shakes way too much. The built in camera should have some sort of hardware stabilizer - till then all recordings will be shaky or get he "jello effect". When you hook up a GoPro you don't get those, so there's a start...
