In his minimoni talk with Namjoon, he says "she" is in fact a muse - new creativity and energy with his music. Face was a dark side purging of negativity after pandemic, this is his new lightness. It's not an actual "she". He started voice lessons when hiatus began, back to the foundation, which accounts for his vocal clarity. He did this album immediately after he was done with Face. Btw, Jimin was born in 1995, and he said it harkened back to the early 2000s, but this is 100% Jimin, not MJ, not anybody else.

He asked Loco (newly married) to collab with and ‘picked Evan’s brain because he’s young, because hasn’t love yet and needed to get closer to that ‘theme’ in order to gain insight. He admitted he hasn’t had a crush in a long time…and Slow Dance he said it was written about having courage / being ready to ask ‘her’ out on a date. So, the album’s theme😅 absolutely leans towards the romantic and sometimes doesn’t just ‘lean’ but rather smacks you in the face with sexiness.

Thank you for this reaction and analysis, Roscoe! Love this song, the lyrics talk of searching and frustration (?) but it's upbeat and so danceable. Quite a change to his vocal timbre, a sharper rasp that reminds me of earlier songs - way earlier than 2000's. Shades of Carole King? They were gorgeous singers, in those days before autotune and synths. Jimin seems to just let his high notes soar freely in this song, chestier than his previous high notes. As for the video, you've analysed it in your usual directorly way - any comment from me on that is redundant. Borahae!

He did a video with Rm discussing Muse. Jimin said that it is about the feelings you experience when yo have a crush. He then laughed and said he couldn't remember the last time he had a crush. So he went to friends. Loco had just gotten married so that is how he ended up on SGMB. in a way it is kinda sad.
