It's that Steelers Defense, they are just that good. That D stopped the Falcons, and people said well, the Falcons are junk, then the Falcons went and beat the Eagles. The Steelers stopped the Broncos, and people again said well, they are junk, and they Just went and creamed Tampa. Yeah, the Steelers offense is lacking, but it seems to be getting a little better every game. But thier Defense is no joke. And before any one wants to roll with, well the Chargers had to go with their backup QB,... Justin Fields is the Steelers backup QB. But honestly, I think the Chargers will bounce back just fine. Hope all those guys get healthy.

Look, we got punched in the mouth. Plus side, it’s good to get that out the way and make adjustments. Let the players feel it. Let them feel the first loss as a unit. Now it’s only time to rally together and get better moving forward. These injuries tho… now that’s another story. Don’t know what it’ll be like moving forward. Don’t know the severity of it all, but it definitely raises questions. But if Herbert and our O Line is injured, we’re cooked. Don’t really care about bosa not being there because we have that depth at edge rush, but if our offense is injured , I don’t think we’re gonna have much success.

Now maybe people’s expectations can come back down to earth. This team is better than last year but we aren’t contenders. Injuries are going to happen and while they did a great job drafting and in free agency it will take another stellar offseason to get the depth we need for the inevitable in game injury. If things work out we may be in wild card contention. But fans hold your head up. We played hard. We are heading in the right direction. Just enjoy this season with no expectations

As a fan I was not happy with what I saw in the second half. It was an extremely dismal performance on offense and the defense had too many costly penalties. Those are the old types of games we are used to seeing where we play hard half the game and then dissappear. I hope the guys don't have season ending injuries but at this point the Chiefs game isn't even worth watching since it's predictable outcome when they are that beat up.

Been a fan since 98. I've seen some charger teams that I felt were contenders. I never had that feeling with this roster. Headed in the right direction though, and that's a feeling I haven't felt in a LONG time, so I'm happy about that.

No, it didn't. Slater was having fits with Herbig before he went off. He was damn lucky not to give a turnover on sack/fumble inside 10 yard line. Alt had to get double team help because when he didn't Watt beat him. I've seen this 3 weeks in a row, opposing team fans underestimating Steelers defense. Steelers made Charger one dimensional by stuffing the run after initial few series. Then despite all the hype Slater and Alt got? Herbert was under constant pressure until he went out and then Heinke was under constant pressure as well.

Our online couldn’t protect or open up holes for the run game. Defense made unnecessary mistakes to give the Steelers more life. This is a learning game and glad it happen now then later. Herbert speedy recovery but I trust in our backup QB Mr. Heinicke. He has shown he could lead a team. Take one day at a time!

Next week Charger’s offense should focus on short throws and Yards after catch. Allow the QB to scramble and run the ball as well. Defense wise blitz like crazy and then let the LB’s and safety’s tackle Mahomes so hard he does not want to run. Anytime we are more than 7 points down;are in the opponents territory and have 3 or less yards to go for a first we go for it.

I think the plan to stay on the east coast was a double edged sword, and seems to have not succeeded in the way they wanted. Facilities can make a difference, and when you're sleeping in your own bed vs hotel. We'll never know tho - hindsight is 20/20

chargers fans when it rains it pours. i'm no football knowledge god, but i was super open to seeing what heinicke could do since i'm not too enthused about easton stick -- until the other day when i checked out heinicke's total record and that mf is an interception MAGNET lol. either way, unbelievable bad luck for us, so many key players lost, one by one, little by little, chargers started getting diced up every which way. we were really competitive until the dominos started falling though! i'm half panicked, i was super surprised at how badly the team performed in the second half without the key players on the field and we might be without them for a few weeks? maybe more? steelers looked pretty good though they're definitely a tough team.

This was a clear sign that the core is still soft and also a lesson on not taking the first 2 weeks as a sign of a successful culture change. Bottom line the team is still injury prone and folded under the pressure. -4 yards in the second half is ridiculous. Bosa has again only been available 50% of the snaps. It’s also evident this team lacks depth and it’s a huge drop off. Have a feeling this is going to be a very long season!!!

We play the same opponents as our division rivals the chiefs if it's a soft schedule for us, it's a softer schedule for them considering they're playing burrow at the start of the season when burrow has always been a slow starter
