Great take, there is nothing wrong with Herbert. I don't get why anyone cares. Who cares about the stat line. We are 2-0. Wins are all that matters. But if we need to do talk stats...Herbert went 14 out of 20, 70% completion percentage. 2 touchdowns. What else do you want? 300 yards, 45 attempts, 3 tds and the loss???? Because that's what happened last year. Why cant we just be happy with winning? Again Herbert is fine and he will be fine. He doesn't need to be Super Herbo. He just needs to do his job and we will win. And we will go deep. So, enjoy this time!

Rust? I don't get it??? This is the Harbaugh/Roman offense. Herbert played fine. 70% accuracy the offense doesn't allow for him to sling it. He's doing exactly what the offense expects him to do. Nobody thrives as a passer in the offense

That said Lamar’s first MVP season was under Roman granted part of that was his ability to run but I think there’s a section of the play book for shootouts it just hasn’t had to come to that yet because they’re so committed to the run

I like the way the defense is playing. They 1st 2 games they have done well. JK Dobbins is running like a beast. Not sold on Ladd. Need to see more. I said in the offseason when that mediocre QB from the Bears got hired. Show me. 6 games in amd we are still playing like this with success, great! Charger fan simce 1979, so ive seen alot of ups and downs. Personally not a big fan of the run first game but whatever works amd as long as qe keep winning. Thats what counts

Been a fan since 2004 and this season (so far) is like a breath of fresh air. Love the run first mentality because it is working! It’s reminiscent of the LT, Michael Turner days. Hell, even Matlock is trying his hardest to be Lorenzo Neal! 😂 I’m completely sold on Ladd after seeing his route running and YAC ability and I have a restored faith in QJ now that he’s being utilized properly. Don’t get me wrong there IS room for improvement but our future is bright and it feels great to be a Charger fan right now #Boltupbaby

The offense even though they score 26 points against the lowly Panthers they struggle to score Herbert was in a lot of pressure the O-Line was not dominant need to improve cause tougher teams are coming up and there going to have to run on all cylinders. Yeah true on herbert its hard for him cus he isnt use to having good coaching a real running game and a real defense now he is totally still not use to it at all he use to think he had to be superman every chance he got and he is still doing it a little here and there its gonna tske him more time to really get use to it but he will especially with not having keenan and mike dont need to make every broken play be a explosive pass down field this new offense he just need to make a few big plays here snd there and let the rest of the team play complimentary football he is way to use to brandon staleys defense giving up 30+ every week and having zero game managment and no halftime adjustments he has to figure out that his stats are gonna be like 150-200 yards passing 1 or 2 TDs thats all this teams needs from him cus the running gsme and defense are legit

That happened, because the panthers have a solid secondary, they were 4th in the nfl in passing defense last year even with a losing record , I'm sure most of those guys returned , other than that roman just needs to design more creative plays for the passing offense , use a bit of play action when the run game is doing good to create shifts and eventually holes in their opponents defense

They're about to make Herbert's career look better. More wins, less interceptions, higher efficiency, and when he's actually NEEDED, herbert will drop bombs deep, throw lasers, and have a winning qb record as well as wins in the post season. Herbert will show up and show out in games when the run isn't cliccing the way the coaches want. When teams try to take away the run, is when herbert will shine. This team, especially once we sure up that interior line a little more, and get more chemistry between our qb and wrs will be one that makes it hard for other teams to gameplan for.
