I heard about a green paper prior to the start of the interview? Supposedly, even before you start the interview, the consulate officer has already decided whether to approve or request a second interview, even if all evidence is present. It's shitty, because I see it as a bias. I'm flying to Vietnam to be with my fiancé and took 7 days off work, if there is a second interview, I would then have to return to the USA and come back again the next month. I know I do not need to be there, but it helps our case a lot to be present

My son (US) is planning a wedding ceremony with his fiancé (BOGOTA) in August. They probably won’t have the visa yet and it will be a wedding in name only. No papers will be filed so it will not be a legal marriage. If she is asked about planning a wedding or if they are married how does she respond? Obviously, she doesn’t want to appear to be lying. Once in the US they will have a very small ceremony to make it official and maybe an open house/party at a later date.

If am filing an I 134 and the petitioner is paying alimony and child support. Does it need to be listed on Page 6 of the application? the dependent I can understand but it also says anyone that you financially support. Am positive both need to be listed and the yearly contribution amount. does that number get deducted from the yearly summary? that way it shows that you meet the poverty line threshold? am no expert in the matter and a USCIS mistake on the form can delay the process. Just trying to find out to make sure.

The U.S. citizen should receive the receipt notice in about 2 weeks, the decision should be made in about a year or year and a half, and then you would need to schedule your interview at the embassy.
