I filed an I-130 through an immigration lawyer to bring my husband to the USA from Egypt so that we can start our Iives together. Both the USCIS & NVC approved our application as of 4/26/24. Hello, I just came across your videos and they are so helpful. My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year, are very in love, but didn't want to rush into a marriage - his tourist visa from Paraguay just recently expired. After trying to re-apply, we found out today that he was told he needs to re-apply in person, but there is not an appointment until July. He's never over-stayed his time in the US. Now we are at a crossroads of wondering if we wait to see if his visa is granted, or if we begin the K-1 visa process in case his visa is denied for some reason and we get ahead of the very long timeframe Do you have any suggestions? As soon as the K-1 visa holder is married to their U.S. citizen sponsor, they can file the marriage-based green card application. We recommend filing it sooner rather than later. If the K-1 visa holder does not get married to the sponsor, the K-1 visa holder will need to exit the U.S. at the expiration of their visa which is 90 days after entry. This question is not a frequent one. My girlfriend lives in Italy and so do I. I overstayed my visa 19 years ago (so the 10 year ban is well expired). Last year, i applied for a tourist visa, it was denied (as if I've been banned for life). My gf went to the US twice in her life. Hi i have an important question: I have a tourism visa valid 10 years. And my passport for 6 years. I know the limit of stay in the USA B1/B2 visa is 6 months maximum stay. Last year i was there for 3 months for holidays at his house and i met his friends and family. I stayed at his place for that time and the officers at the border knew of it.
