In part 2 of my truck restoration video, I finish the repair and restoration of my 1985 flatbed Chevy truck. To finish off the restoration, I am going to change out the gas tank, finish up the body work and put it back together, and give it it’s final paint job. Throughout this truck restoration project I learned a lot about the process and hopefully you did as well - enjoy the restoration!
Thank you for watching! please put your body work tips in the comment section!!!

every single time I step outside and stretch my comfort zone ...to learn a new discipline or expand on some thing that I am learning ...blacksmithing, knife making, auto body work...it is the true professionals that are warm and encourage me to keep going and learning and provide useful constructive commentary....And it’s the amateur or the do nothings, wannabes with little to no experience.... that are most critical with intent to insult.

What you do for the dent in the door is while pulling on the glue sticks take a body hammer and tap around the dent. The metal has memory and by tapping on it gets the molecules moving again and gets it to stabilize

Looks awesome ! I love the color of that truck. Not to worry about the runs and finger prints. My dad always told me as long as it looks good at 50 mph .

Nice work! Funny when you put the front emblem on i wanted to see you push it down and cinch it in... it was like kissing without the pucker at the end.

Thanks for sharing this video. Last time I tackled a similar project was in 1970, on a ‘64 Chevy Impala. Many thin coats of OD paint. Preservation and paint techniques are the same but obviously coating technology has evolved. I was surprised that you didn’t do any frame rust mitigation before replacing the fuel tank. Crispy frame syndrome is common here in NE Ohio. Wishing you and your family a blessed new year filled with peace, prosperity, health and happiness.
