Your artistry and view of things at a different level is a commodity needed to teach beyond what schools today can do. I’m glad that you see this and show your students that it’s not all about the tools but an imagination to an end is very important.

The shadows of the upper layer items are my favorite part of the build. I wonder if there had been a way to prevent the bubbles under the safety glasses though? Awesome build Jimmy, very inspiring, downright memorable.
@kurtfattig9370
@kurtfattig9370 3 жыл бұрын
I noticed them during the build... but it's easy to critique from the spectator spot. I think if he had put down the epoxy first and then dipped the glasses in epoxy first, then pressed them in from an angle it would have eliminated the trapped air bubbles. But, hindsight is 20/20. Still looks awesome IMHO. Maybe some googly eyes behind the glasses...

Interesting how the glass flat surface goes with the rough sawn sides of the table & the 3d depth from the objects that are destined never to reach the bottom, but look to be sinking. Also interesting how you have an ensemble of tools covering perhaps 100 years, some modern, some known to the ancients. Thanks for sharing!
