Another tip: Envoker's do spawn the entity that is similar to the allay.

Dire, particle collider is exactly what it sounds like. You set up 2 particle colliders and let the items get up to speed and release them to smash together. It takes a LOT of resources, but makes some of the end game items cheaper/easier like the overcharged crystal. The wiki mentions a few other easter eggs. If you're a science nerd, you'll enjoy trying it out.😮

It's not simple you i d o i t. You need to figure out speed to make each object.

@AspergersStudio I haven't gotten to fire it yet, but since I plan to capture the energy, I just set it up to reach 10k or more. Unless I'm making nether stars (have them automomated elsewhere) that's plenty. The only tricky part left is starting both at the same time and waiting for materials to process and craft, install the linear accelerators

I think it makes sense for item frames to be entities because they can hold other items.
@Ether_Void2 күн бұрын
Chests can hold other items but aren't entities. Note that entities and tile entities are something completely different in Minecraft. Entities are their own thing (like animals, mobs, etc.) and tile entities are bound to blocks (chests, machines, etc.). The only thing that's common between them is that both can tick independent of random ticks and block updates and both can run hold extra data and run custom logic for that data (blocks alone can only work on block types and block states) I think the reason they are entities is so they don't need to take up an entire block space without adding sub-block / microblock cababilities into vanilla. It of course adds the drawback that they need to handle all the checks for block updates themselves which is more resource intensive. You can also notice that compared to a torch a item frame usually takes a bit more time to drop when the block it's on is removed.

@@Ether_Void chests can hold items, but you don't see them in the world
@Ether_VoidКүн бұрын
@@zperk13 That' the result of rendering and can be added to tile entities too. However in vanilla the spawner is probably the only block that does something comparable.

@DarkTemplarFTW2 күн бұрын
yeah, item frames and paintings being entities is only really apparent in early console versions of Minecraft. due to system limitations, if you placed enough of them you'd eventually hit a hard limit and get a message saying that you can't place more. Armor stands are also entities with the same limitations.

Allays were added in to Java in 1.19(22w13a) but they only spawn in two specific places. And even then each of the three pack only has a 50% chance of spawning.

1:00 "Allay might fit that description. _Although they always try to take the item" _ Pretty sure it's trying to say that you _can't_ use an Allay... (TBF, it's worded in a confusing fashion, and literally highlights the word 'Allay', which implies that you would be able to use it). That said, the 'similar entity' you can use to put in the container... Hmm, something that's similar to an allay, but not an allay. Similar to the little blue fairy thingies, but not the blue fairy things? Perhaps a red fairy thingy? Yes, I'm talking about the Vex, but trying to be covert about it and gently guide people towards the answer instead of just flat-out backseating.
