In a roundabout way, Dirk Benedict changed my life more than anyone, because it was through reading his excellent book, that I realised the link between what I was eating and how I was feeling. I would love somehow for him to know how grateful I am to him, because I am not exaggerating when I say that the journey his book took me on, is hugely instrumental in the fact that I am still alive today. To think I only read it out of curiosity, because I love The A-Team and yet it remains the turning point in my life.

your are referring to his book, " Adventures of a Kamikazee Cowboy". It was about surviving his diagnosis with prostate cancer. He was given just a short while to live. He went into immediate damage control and stop eating a conventional diet and immediatley began a macrobiotic diet. His buddies in show business where Gloria Swanson and of course the famous writer and Gloria's husband, Bill Dufty. They taught him all about macrobiotic diet - since they were on it themselves- and the rest is history. The book was excellent. "No Cheating!". 😄
