I used to ride there back in the 90's and you could use the dirt road and ride from each parking area to to do different trails. All you needed was your OHV sticker
@ITBubba17 ай бұрын
No , you just got lucky. Only time you can ride the road with OHV only is when the gates are still closed for winter.

The main roads are county roads so you must be titled and registered for street use.That is the law on any state,county or city road.Easy to get dirt bikes titled in Colorado.Headlight taillight brakelight horn one mirror and dot approved tires.Colorado State Patrol inspection and your off to the DMV for licenceplate.Ride on any street or road that you want.

Actually Rampart is a FS road, but in past 5 years began requiring a plate AND OHV sticker. I road that dirt road 40 years ago on my mini bike and no hassle from any democrat revenuer, ever.

Then pay fucking taxes and insurance for 2 miles a year of use. Now we see the real situation. Tax pirating. The government is corrupt and tyrannical. Situations like these are bullshit excuses for the government to steal even more money from the citizen. How can you support a cabal of thieves?

I've been riding Rampart for 30 years, you CAN'T miss the signs posted on 300, Rampart road, stating you must be plated to ride this road. Rangers have been ticketing guys for years for riding dirt bikes on 300. $100 fine I've heard.

TTP total misconception you know the people moving away from CA are the people that hate the regulations just saying were not all forest rangers looking to inforce CA laws in CO 😂

Plus everywhere I have ridden in CA is not as enforced as this rule here is if it’s dirt your good if it’s paved you better have a plate

@@trevorwise6039 Your comment is partially right about people moving from CA due to regulations. I have friends from CA that moved to CO because they could not stand the wave of silly regulations, but they are the minority. The sad fact is the majority of people that moved from CA to CO are either fanatic tree huggers or jerks bad attitude, and the reason they moved was because they could not afford to live in CA anymore, and the worse ones went to Texas and other more affordable States. That's fine to move to CO, but don't bring they habits and regulations to CO or try to find other tree huggers to elect to make them feel more at home. Again nothing against CA, we just do not like or want fanatics to bring their bad attitude and regulations to CO, not matter where they are coming from. We want to keep the freedom our ancestors hard fought for, using commonsense to enjoy the nature.

It's nothing more than a corrupt source of revenue. Over the past 4 decades I've been busted countless times for simply riding a trail to the FS road, then down 500 ft to the same trail where it continues at rampart. They know you have no other choice but ride 500ft of dirt road. These scum bags should be embarrassed to act like a trail rider. I just returned from 3 weeks riding in Arizona and you can ride dirt bikes and 4 wheelers anywhere including city streets. PEOPLE NEED TO STOP VOTING FOR MONEY HUNGRY DEMOCRATS!
