Originally from WI and have been dirt biking the mtns of CO for 2 decades. At altitude there are a couple things vitally important. The weather can change from warm to freezing or snow in a couple of hours. Bring a large day pack with warm clothes/gloves/hat. Always expect to stay the night so research and bring survival gear. Also, altitude fogs the brain, creates fatigue, and disorientation. Crashes are more likely. And finally, bring and drink tons of water. Thats the short version. All the best.

Great video and you added some wisdom of "we all prefer the tight technical slow stuff, rather than the open two-way fast-paced stuff just so much more room to get hurt badly" So it's hard to believe that I have been enjoying this sport since I was 15 and still enjoying this type of riding going on 53 years on the dirt! Gives you a reason to live to ride and stay healthy by staying disciplined to do the right thing in every respect in life. The modern 300 cc bikes make me a better rider than I am and it's ridden by about every professional hard enduro rider for a reason. Keep'em coming~

Great video thanks. Been ridding that area for nearly 40 years, was there just last summer. Looks like maybe you hit Timber Line or Star? 2 of my favorite trails beside those over on the Cement Creek side. One request, when you see mining relics out there, especially when with a crowd of non-dirt bikers there, we resist the urge to ride through them. Mining is our heritage here in Colorado, we're fighting hard enough to keep these trails open, don't need to give ammunition to the enviro 'close it down' lunatics. Now you know why they call them the 'Rocky Mountains'. Nice ride.

Just now seeing this video. I had the exact same thing happen on my Beta. Brand new bike and went with some friends to Norwood, CO and rode trails. The very first day in the first trail my clutch lever reservoir emptied itself 7 miles in the mountains. It was a fun experience though. Beautiful trails and scenery. Way better trails than the Midwest!

It makes me smile when a flatland indian like you go to the hills, I mean the real hills, and got exited. :-) :-) :-) And never, NEVER forget ... there are countries on this planet, where such activities, specially in a National Park, are absolutly unthinkable and stricly forbidden. So enjoy your self. That's the stuff from where the unforgettable memories come from.
@volkspanzer8314 жыл бұрын
You don't have to go to another country, just come to PA. There's so much land that could be ridden on but all you see is "POSTED:NO TRESPASSING" signs all over the place. This state is so backwards with their stupid laws.
