What i did in my world i so much moree efficiant! I sat up a Large resource extractor for astronomium (not amonium) and traded 6/8 for hydrozine, then i sent it up to my base automaticly with a train and now i have 96 000 hydrozine in my base.

You could do this, or you could just make a single auto extractor on an ammonium node and automate it from there. The node will most definitely suffice for the amount of hydrazine you may need.

Maybe for awhile, but it will certainly run out if you have the save for a long time. You could just switch to a new ammonium vein, but I prefer building a giant soil economy in the late game and making so I can get any item with it. It allows me to do a single brand of grind in order to obtain loads of valuable resources.

From personal experience, a single vein can produce enough ammonium to fill over four medium fluid canisters of hydrazine, and I have never needed more than two so far. I do like the idea of using soil and scrap to get all other resources, (I usually just make an auto extractor for every type of resource), but you are probably able to save a lot of scrap by automating ammonium in another way. (I might test these ideas out on a new save to see what method is easiest and most valuable overall.)

I think better than auto extractor on ammonium would be auto extractor on astronium since you can get 4 hydrazine from 3 astronium

​@@nickcz2453 alternatively, turn your astronium into solid fuel jump jets, and then scrap those, then trade scrap for ammonium. you get half a canister more per 3 ammonium if you do it this way.

no matter what i do you can't fitler auto arms for small canisters, so it just grabs the small printer instead every time and scraps it

The way you filter them is by putting the item you want them to grab on their center slot.

I mean it's just ammonium and hydrogen, you don't even need to automate or harvest soil, just use an atmospheric condenser and medium gas tank and go to desolo for easy to find ammonium

I feel like most people would rather put a medium canister down and leave rather than go to Desolo every time, lol. It’s also a good stepping stone to making nanocarbon.

You don't need aluminum alloy for a small shuttle. Just aluminum which is smelted laterite.

Never make ammonium from soil Make resin > small canister > scrap > trade Normally 2 cans = 1 ammonium With scrap method 2 cans = 8 smalls [3 small is 1 scrap] 1 scrap in trade platform = 1 ammonium So you can make from 2 soil cans almost 3 Way better than 1 ammonium Edit: i didn't watch the full video 😂
