Great video I like the part where you explained that dirt devil wanted you to take a pic of you cutting the cord off a dirt devil and send it to them, then they'll send you a brand new vacuum. I had a similliar experience but the item was not a vacuum cleaner but a George Foreman Quesadija maker, it had a loose latch i contacted them asking for a replacement latch, they told me that they do not have replacement latches but if i cut off the power cable and email a pic of it with the cut off cable they'll send me a brand new Quesadija maker. Funny thing is the next day there was a damaged T.V. set by my apartment dumpster, I cut off the power cord from that tv and I took a pic of the Quesadila with the power cord from the T.V. next to it. I emailed it to them they replied telling me that the Quesadila maker was on its way

This video is a blessing. I bought this exact same vacuum a couple days ago. I was frustrated to tears trying to put it together. Since I bought it about a year after this video was made the model is the same but the vacuum itself actually looks different, and mine didn’t come with instructions on how to put it together. It only came with a cleaning manual. And since it looks different from all the pictures that came up online I could NOT figure out how to put it together. So thank you!

I went ahead and put it together myself and picked up NOTHING so I found your video and I was able to see that I skipped connecting the suction hose to the vacuum and ended up just making dust all over the room till I saw your video and finally I was able to put together the proper way, very easy .... thank you for your great video 👍🏼!

Thank you so much for this video!! I was wondering why dirt would just kick back out and I couldn’t use it on my hard wood floor due to that same fact. I was thinking I got a bad vacuum. I finally came to KZbin and here’s your helpful video. Turns out my boyfriend put it together wrong 🤦🏽‍♀️ The hose that’s supposed to go into the handle was connected to the hose extender. I just rinsed my filter and cleaned out the dirt canister. So hopefully it works as it should!

I’m glad you made this video, I got mine for $12.00 at Goodwill, and it looked new. Had all attachments except the small rolling brush. I had taken it apart to clean and needed to see this video to make sure I put it back right! Works great on my hard floors

Thanks I tore my hoses apart and couldn’t figure out where the clear hose went because I haven’t used it in forever because I thought it was broken. 😂 haha. But you helped me figure out I was plugging the wand cord into the wrong hole. Lol!

Dirt Devil vacs have been my go-to tool...reliable and good $$$. Thank you for this video....no manual and questions about this model. The belt slips off, NO reason I can figure, the last two years. The metal shaft AND receiving brush axle are clean and aligned. Hours later update... This Model at six years old and four belts equals a spot in retirement/spare parts and buy a new critter. Observation.... Reliable, easy to repair, affordable. This model does have a belt clutch problem at 6 years. YES, much better products out there. I like this tool AND thanks for your video.

I am struggling with how to use/connect the turbo brush. Every time I try something it spits it back out. Do you have a video of how to do that? Maybe I’m using the wrong side of the hose or something. Just struggling with figuring it out and there is no instructions whatsoever.

You should be able to attach it to the hose or the wand. Does it spin up when you attach it? If so it may have something jammed in it

I had no problem assembling it when purchased. My problem is, I cleaned everything that could come apart and now the purple lid will not stay connected to the dirt holder. I took that all apart and washed the filter and everything. I have it lined up properly and everything.

I'm trying to press the foot pedal on the left to get the handle to lay back but it doesn't seem to be working. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong & don't want to break the foot pedal ?

When it's new it'll be a little stiff, you have to push on it more towards the back of the pedal, but it should push down and release

I just bought the dirt devil power max rewind pet at Wal-Mart and used one time and noticed the cord got warm after just a min of vacuuming so I haven't used it again. Should I take it back or is that normal??

I'd hold onto your receipt and closely monitor the vacuum for the next couple days. If it doesnt improve, I'd take it back

on those vacuums have 7amp motors just like bissell all new vacuums have new motors new bissell and dirt devils have 7amp motors old bissells have 12amps like the cleanview and powerforce versions

Theres a two peice filter inside the purple peice in the canister and an exhaust filter under a grey door on the front of the machine

I think tti is gonna end the dirt devil brand at this point. I feel that they're more focused on hoover and they're other better brands while neglecting dirt devil. Parts availability and support is pretty much non existence.

That's the thing with really any video. If I make it too short then I miss something entirely and the video feels rushed. But if I make it too long, you can always skip to the part you want to see. So to make it easier, I'll add a timestamp in future Unboxings, so that way if you want to just see the Unboxing itself, you can skip to that point. Then everyone's happy!

You don't need to do anything, when you attach the handle it's already routed to the base
