This song enchants and amuses me. I've been telling my friends it's the first song I've ever heard about persecution that's not depressing. I've got friends around the world who live this reality on the daily. It's refreshing to have a way to characterise them that's not just an image of sad sufferers but of the hardcore, powerhouse kind of people they really are. "Cloak of a wolf, voice of a sheep," "wise as serpents, innocent as doves." (This is assuming I have understood this song correctly.)

Now see, that’s something I really like about dirt poor robins’ music. It’s got a strong enough message/narrative for people to find profound meaning in the story yet while also being delivered in a way that leaves it open to interpretation without detracting too much from the profundity. If that’s not good writing I don’t know what is lol

Writing a fanfic of a young girl who is described just like this song -- nearly drowns trying to save her friend, wears a cloak of a wolf but is kind hearted, and is persecuted at school. But when I imagine this song, I see her wild and free, a holy joker off to cause chaos and shake the foundations of the world she knows.

I have so many questions, I’ve listened to the whole album several times now and can mostly make out the story but can’t tell if the person she tries to run off with is the same guy singing in so long to yesterday, it can be hard to follow who’s who with some story themed albums Im super excited though I love artists that tell a story through an album

oh my GOD it's HERE!!! After you guys released Firebird here on KZbin, I kept checking your KZbin and Spotify every hour or so to see if any more were added (or if Firebird was gonna get uploaded there). Two days later, lo and behold THE WHOLE FIREBIRD ALBUM, OH MY GAWWWD!!! AND NOW HOLY ROLLER IS ON KZbin!!! This one album alone has been carrying my mental throughout these past few days, as I've written two tests, have two more to write, have a Musical performance coming up (I'm just part of the Orchestra, I'm not a cool singer/dancer/actor like you guys), and I'm sick. Thank you guys so much for what you're doing, and for keeping me sane with some awesome tunes. And hoooooly do I vibe with this track. The guitar, the singing, the GROOVE, oh yeah, everything I need to steamroll through this material on the Nervous Systems. I'd praise the lyrics more, but tbh, I actually vibe so hard to get this I can't recall the words. Now, the one complaint I have is your music genuinely fits my taste a bit too much (my spotify wrapped for 2023 told me i spent ~62,000 minutes listening to you guys 💀). Either way, keep up the amazing work, can't wait to see the rest of the Firebird album pop up here on KZbin, I'll definitely have you guys playing almost constantly for at least a month, whether it be KZbin or Spotify.

WAAAIITTT!!!!! I JUST REALIZED THE REST OF THE SONGS ON ARE KZbin!!! Go to DPR's channel, the the releases tab, then it's write there! The whole Firebird album with it's 12 BEAUTIFUL masterpieces (no lyrics on the "unreleased" four tho). Bless! Praise.... praise whoever's up there! Screw it, PRAISE NEIL & KATE! God, you guys are actually making my day every day since Firebird was released.
