Chef Corso! I just found your channel. I'm getting into backpacking as a amateur chef and it's super inspiring to see that I don't have to sacrifice the quality of my meals for the outdoors. Your content is great!!

Really enjoyed the show and ALWAYS love the inspiration. I do a lot of day hikes and one-nighters, and having fun food along, especially if I can share w friends, just rocks. Gonna try this one soon, keep up the good work.

I was hiking in California a few years ago, outside of LA and was able to make ham radio contact with a hiker on Mt Diablo. I enjoyed seeing the beauty there you captured and excited to try this recipes on my next hike here in CT.

I enjoyed the show and the brunch looked good. After going out on a 2 night backpacking trip last weekend, and elevating my food game (beef stroganoff one night and Mac & cheese the next), I have decided to go back to freeze dried meals-I simply wasn’t a fan of having to do all the cleanup and bringing all the extra gear. So, I’ll just watch you do all the great cooking moving forward. LOL

I feel like the only problem with these types of meals is that it would only work on one or two night trips that do not require a bear can. Dont get me wrong, I love a nice cooked meal on trail. I wish there were some smaller packaging and less clean up meals.I feel like all the things he brough would take up half my backpack for one or two meals leaving no room for mid day snacks or several other meals before a resupply. The calories to volume (and weight) isnt worth it for backpacking. Hopefully one day we can bring good meals and backpacking together sooner.

Hey Itto, Keep in mind the theme of this episode was day-hike brunch. Do I take dirtbag eggs benedict on 4 night backpacking trip? Nope. Each style and length of trip dictates the meal plan. I welcome you to check out our over 300 trail-tested recipes on our website to find the best recipe that's easy to prepare, is mindful of weight and is tasty and filling. Cheers!
