What we really need is a tutorial in how to setup the car for the different stages and conditions..at least some explanation of every single tuning option and it's effects demonstrated on road

The tyre wear needs tweaking as it doesnt really feel like your losing that much grip after a few stages. Make it more important.

Playing through Spain with worn out soft tyres would like to have a word with you.
@auperion4 жыл бұрын
Obviously it depends on which stages, but I will assure you that if you reach the end of Australia without changing tires for four stages it's like driving on snow.
@OminousOmelet4 жыл бұрын
I second this, it seems soft can (almost) always be picked without worrying about noticeable grip loss between service areas, and hards are completely pointless. A friend also suggested you should only get 1 set of each compound, so you'd have to use multiple compounds in a rally regardless.
@ohorta1534 Жыл бұрын
@@ptkstefano Just did that. Don't know how I managed to survive it, but yeah, dont use soft tires.
@Dreben4 жыл бұрын
The actually better move is to select wet tyres in this situation.
@Ariokanikan4 жыл бұрын
Yeah that definitely wasnt the right pick. 2 wet stages are gonna be hell without a wet tire.
@Chadodoy4 жыл бұрын
Yeah the game even recommends him to pick Wet by default lol. They need to work on these tutorial vids. Dirt Rally’s were well edited and to the point
@exka77274 жыл бұрын
That is actually driver preference, he probably wanted to get a nice lead in stage 1, and since it's a short stage he would go into wet stages with slightly worn soft tyres, which is not bad, i would personally prefer to wear the wet tyres in the dry hot asphalt of stage 1, but still have wet tyres for the 2 wet stages. However jon is a real life rally driver and a highly competitive esport rally driver, so maybe which move is better is up to the driver.

There's a vague one in the drive types video. The best advice I can give on my own is pump that throttle, even if you want to kick out the back end for some deliberate oversteer around a corner you don't need to floor it.

In the world of rallying each stage is called a Special Stage or SS1 and so on. In some rallies like in the WRC they do stages called Super Special Stages and they are not like normal stages they are generally a track type race but they are still timed

Why soft tyre for rain conditions? Is wet surface less wearing on tyres?
@aab-fh7kq3 жыл бұрын
It would be good to introduce car setup ("tune vehicle") in a way that people who don't know anything about it cal lear something and understand what to do. Like selecting a particular part of a track and a bad setup on a car, have a player ride, that tell him to adust a slider and ride again to see the difference. And this with all possible setup sliders.
@xwaltranx4 жыл бұрын
the soft tire will not work at all in wet stages. it is better to take the wet, and try to converse in the dry stage to protect it
