Dirtnali part 7: Finally, a cheap part of this repair on our 2018 Sierra Denali, the bed.

I could not pass up the deal on a used bedside for $275 with a couple little dings. The plastic parts would have cost over $600 new from the dealer plus the $475 bedside. I got all of that plus some extra metal to throw IN THE PILE! We will strip the parts, prep, fit and weld our bed together. We will also get some more of the dirt off the frame while the bed is removed so it will be ready to go back together.

Make your own jigsaw puzzle. Just make sure you grind and drill properly so you're not trying to weld holes. Steck makes a really cool spot weld chisel that goes in your air hammer. Awesome for bedliners and seam sealer.
@vehcor

Sometimes I get a little carried away and end up welding a hole or two. lol If I was thinking a little more it would have been easier to weld the front of that rear support from the outside by drilling instead of grinding the inside and welding on the inside. Oh well, too late. It worked. lol

Also you need to purchase your self the new self heating leaf blowers. The new impeller design moves air faster and it'll help you get the dents out quicker, plus don't forget the flux capacitor. You have to electrify the metal first before you heat it up and then blow it out the east wing. Awesome vids. I'm checking my You Tube everyday for new videos from ya. Dont blame you at all for getting a bedside especially when you need the plastics, its amazing when you go and get prices on the plastics and then you see just how expensive they are ( no no I dont want to buy your company, just looking for some plastic parts ) Some guys will say you should have just got spent extra and bought a whole bed, sure maybe if this is a keeper till the wheels fall off for yourself, but when it is a drive n flip dollars and sense matter, because every dollar that comes out of your pocket is one less dollar you will make when it is time to flip it, and I dont know about anyone else, but I like to maximize my revenue potential because I am not a charity organisation....lol She's coming along good, not too far off from having her all buttoned up and impressive clamp collection...you have me beat by far
@vehcor

Some of the dealer prices are so out of line. I think they just throw darts at a board to make up prices. The stuff that should be cheap is crazy expensive and the stuff you think will be expensive is reasonable. I think $475 for a bedside is reasonable. $285 for a wheel opening molding? Are you nuts? Even if I planned on keeping it forever, I would still go with a used bedside, as long as it is not rusty, it is just as good. I will rust proof it anyway. I fix everything as though I am keeping it forever. Those are the old vise grips when thy were still good too! Thanks for watching!

I hear you on the creepers. The little one just likes to roll in the dirt! She played softball and was always sliding and diving in it! lol Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend as well!

Another great video of your quality work, which surprises me of the one goober who gave the thumbs down. Guess they're just some jealous hater that obviously doesn't posses a hint of your talent. Great job and looking for eight 👍👍👍

Thanks, I have a following of haters. It is mostly the trolls that I put in their place and their only recourse is a dislike. lol They dare not comment again, they can't handle another loss. They are still watching my videos so I still win. Not to mention I am in their head which is an even bigger win for me. lol If you are bored, I usually pin the extra dumb ones in each video. Thanks for your support!

You are talented ! But if your waiting for your back to ' Improve ' quit waiting, it ain't gonna happen. I got two vertebrae broke, Doctor fixed one, but the other one is too damaged. He said "look, you have two arms, two hands two legs, two feet, but one spine. You break it, it's gonna hurt. Good luck, love my tee shirt. Good luck, you are the man !

It will improve, I have been down this road for 15 years. I am not expecting perfect, just back to "normal" useable condition. Glad you like the shirt, new ones are now available! Thanks for your support!

Quality work all the way as usual, and if that was your daughter helping out rolling around on the shop floor I think she qualifies for her own key to the Dirtnali if it's staying at home IMO that is 😏
@vehcor

That would be her, she is afraid to drive it. I offered to let her drive the Mistake but she says they are too big. She drives a Scion Tc for reference. She has driven my old 2006 Silverado with a trailer before. I think the height scares her on this one.

Are you sure this wasn't a flood truck? It looks liked the Mississippi flowed over the body for a week with all the mud caked everywhere, including where the sun doesn't shine.
@vehcor

I think a flood truck might have been cleaner. It would have rinsed out some of the dirt. lol You are not kidding, there is dirt everywhere, in large quantities!
