I'm not sure that is true. In Canada a high end Cadillac Escalade goes for $200k and it is not an uncommon vehicle to see on the road. I think the observation here is that most buyers will be corporations with a commercial use, or an individual who would prefer to spend $200k on a unique all terrain solution rather than a luxury vehicle.

This is a very disappointing “review”. As someone who has spent hundreds of hours running Sherps, Fat Trucks, and did extensive testing driving the Sasquatch, this video is full of blatant lies about the other brands. 1. Sherp and Fat Truck can both change tire pressure on the fly. You do not need to “stop and put it in neutral” to inflate tires. Which is interesting because since you say you’ve spent time driving both, then you would know this is not true. 2. Sasquatch is not “the best” out of all 3 on the water. Top speed is the same as fat truck and sherp, it is not faster. 3. The Sasquatch is not the most maneuverable in the water out of the 3. I would actually counter that and say it is hands down the WORST in water and is what pushed me away from the Sasquatch. You need to STOP the machine and engage the electric motor to turn in idle speed everytime you need to turn. Which is OK in calm waters, but if you get into any kind of waves or current, it renders the machine completely useless and nearly impossible to safely maneuver. 4. I will give it to Sasquatch l, compared to the 3 Sasquatch is the easiest to get in to drive for somebody with 0 experience off-road driving. That being said, I can easily train anyone to operate a Sherp or fat truck in a couple of hours. 5. The fat truck also does not use levers or a clutch. It is driven with 1 single joystick. 6. You forgot to mention the Sasquatch is driven with a power sports style CVT and rubber drive belt! Btw in place zero turns are cool, but don’t do it 3 times in a row or you will overheat the electric motors! Also- if somebody can’t handle 2 steer sticks and a clutch, they probably shouldn’t be driving a large piece of equipment in sketchy terrain to begin with. This was a good ad for Argo, but don’t call it a review.

I've owned both a Sherp N and now the Argo Sasquatch. The Sherp does absolutely nothing better than the Sasquatch. The Argo unit is better in almost every practical situation. The only thing that remains to be seen is reliability. Having said that, service and support for Canadians - no matter how poor (though my experience with Argo has so far been excellent) - will be better than the support I was getting from Sherp. I will however agree the Sasquatch is no better in the water. Using zero turns a lot will likely result in an overheat warning. That has been my experience as well. I do think that the visibility is WAY better in the Sasquatch. I don't agree with you on the two steer sticks and the clutch. Those two steer sticks control braking and you have to pull through a neutral, and work the clutch, and the 6 speed. The operator of a Sasquatch has more situational awareness (because he's not looking all around the cab and playing with 3 levers with two hands plus clutch and gas, and monitoring instruments) and he has better site lines. The Sasquatch is therefore safer and more controllable in extreme terrain. Yes you can train someone on the Sherp. But let them drive the Sasquatch after a month or two and I'm pretty certain they will tell you they feel safer in the Sasquatch. To say nothing of the Sasquatch AC, and heater / defroster actually working. I agree this was less a "review" than an overview of the product with some initial observations.

@@garypower9024 Well, it would not be hard if you didn't pay attention to the inclinometer. 30 degrees side-hilling. 35 degrees front incline. But, I usually chicken out before I get to either number. You don't want to roll. You won't get crushed but the problem with these machines is if you breakdown or roll in a remote area. The only thing that can get to you is another Sasquatch, Sherp, FT or a helo!

In Ontario you can have it licensed and plated as a UTV. However, you'll need to hold on to your wallet with respect to the insurance premium that attracts $10k+ per year. Most individuals that use these do not license them. They insure them against loss and liability like they would heavy equipment like an excavator.

As no vehicle is perfect, please tell us what you didn't like about the Squatch, that is the only way this video isn't considered an ad for the vehicle instead of an honest review. What would you change on it or recommend be updated for the next version of it. And it would help if you provided pricing information for it and the competitors that you mention. I can tell you from personal experience that the biggest thing I didn't like about the Fat Truck was the constant hydraulic pump whine, it was loud and annoying in the cab, so how does the Squatch compare to the Fat Truck in that respect? Thanks.
@300BLKOUT-CE
@300BLKOUT-CE 8 күн бұрын
There is no hydraulic whine. Though the air compressor does cycle on and off automatically to keep the tire pressures consistent. This is like a loud groan. Personally I've gotten used to it. My wish has a lot to do with accessories like interior cargo / storage options and exterior cargo options.

No no where's near as good as a sherp! The two have been put against each other quite a few times. Also the Argo only has a cab where as the sherp is like a van sized box. If you have trouble running a clutch and gears you can't off road. Having all that tech in something is grounds for when it fails not if! Again the sherp is far more superior! Sounds more like you really know your getting paid by Argo to up the sales. Heck the atlas is better than the argo.

Spoken like someone that has not driven or owned either of these vehicles. Lots of opinions based on videos. The Sasquatch gives the operator greater control and the ability to focus on safety.

Sherp was having trouble supporting the North American market so they licensed Sherp sales and support to Argo. After three years Argo became frustrated with Sherp. Poor communication and getting parts was too hard. Yet they saw there was a market. So they essentially took the idea and designed and manufactured their own version.
