Just got back from a 4 day adventure. If you haven't been there, you need to be. Other than the rain and cold, it was the best trip of my life. Wish I could post pictures.. We stayed at the Hatfield McCoy Inn, in Matewan. We had excellent access to Devil Anse, Buffalo Mountain and Rock House. Can't wait to go back.

Hey man, as a born and raised resident of Man, I want to thank you for all of the kind words you say about my hometown and my state. I'm actually from Buffalo Creek, just outside of Man, but went to school and graduated from Man High School which is actually right near Rockhouse Trailhead. Anyhoot, I just wanted to say thank you because for one, I'm used to hearing immature people, who more than likely haven't ever even been here, talk crap about West Virginia like we are nothing but a bunch of dumb hillbillies. And say stuff like we are cousin fu*kers and all of that dumb stuff. It's nice hearing people telling others about how great it is here. This area not only has some of the best 4x4ing but it's also just ungodly beautiful and has some of the greatest people in the world. And for people to come here and get a taste of it and sees what I'm talking about and then actually tells others about it, is so refreshing to hear. We need more people doing this! It would not only help with the reputation of the state but help with our economy here by bringing in more tourists. Thank you so much, it really means a lot to me/us! P.S. If and when you're back in town, holler at me and we'll go riding. Recently got me a 2021 Honda Talon 1000x! I'm looking forward to riding the H&M Trails for the first time. As a local I've always rode on trails that aren't connected to them, so this year coming will make for the first time ever riding on them, so I'm down to get together and ride.

The Hatfields are also my family, I am a McCoy. My great grandmother was a Hatfield and my great grandfather was a McCoy. They were married and lived in Wharncliffe West Virginia prior to moving west shortly after the 1888 attack on Randall and Sarah's cabin.

We're looking to make our first trip there next year. Trying to find places to stay. I'm thinking we should stay in one location and then move midweek to experience another section. Any suggestions on where to stay? Nothing to fancy for the budget or too rough for the ladies.

@REBELRIDERS8 жыл бұрын
I own a highly modded lifted recon with lots of mods big tires and gears and stuff and I ride up there all the time A recon stock should handle most trails other than the extreme trails

Its a pretty good disance for me cause i dont have a car. I half to walk all the way outside and outback my house and then across the bridge and up the hill. I just prefer looking out my kitchen window and seeing the statue up their.
