Just a friendly FYI: HMT are opening a new trail system, scheduled for Late Spring/Early Summer, Called the Brave Heart Trail System. So I guess this means you'll have to come back down for another ride. It will be situated very close to the Rock House Trail system which is also connected to Devil Anse and Buffalo Mountain Trail systems. LOGAN / MINGO COUNTIES McDonald Clan Resort Project - $4,000,000 The project will include a new Hatfield-McCoy Trail System - the Brave Heart Trail System - consisting of over 60 new miles of new ATV trails and a one-of-a kind zip line system that will include 7,830 feet of aerial zip lines; second only in the state of West Virginia to Adventures on the Gorge zip line facility in total aerial feet of zip line. The project will consist of 20 two-bedroom cabins, 12 four-bedroom cabins, 15 full-hookup recreational vehicle sites, an outdoor pool, a bathhouse, kayak rentals, and general store.

Great video! You guys capture the fun and spirit of WV and HMT very well! One of the most beautiful places to be and ride off road! I've been there many times and can't wait to go back everyone time I get back home! Anyone on the planet will find something they will like of these trail systems and just like you mentioned, you can be an absolute beginner or seasoned off road pro! Make sure you come back with your own machines and spend a week down there, you'll have a BLAST!

I moved to WV for the riding and spend almost every weekend in the woods. HMT is not even 1/10 of the trails available in WV but as a family we love how well maintained HMT is. I think a great thing that is often overlooked about HMT is the lack of congestion. The parking lot can be packed but trail traffic is rarely something you experience. It's worth the drive because the riding is always good.

Nice video brother I live all the way at the top of WV and me and my wife was wondering about cabwaylingo and your video locked in the location heading there with our yxz for the 4th of July weekend!!!!!!!!and a neat side note my grandfather is the guy for the statue of the CCC worker he built those cabins and a bunch of the state parks and forests in WV!!the civilian conservation corps are the most underrated people to be part of the armed forces the did so much around our state it would blow your mind plus they had my grandfather breeding deer and turkey for repopulate pourpos you could do a whole series on those guys

I live in Morgantown Wv which is about 4 1/2 hours north of Charleston and the Hatfield&mccoy trails. I just want to say thank you for showing our state in such a positive light. I’ve been to trails on several occasions and love them. Next time you guys are driving down this way again and if you come through morgantown on 79 south stop and the pepperoni rolls are on me!

You said it, the local people are worth the trip in itself. We got lost going in. No cell service. Pulled into a church to look at a map and a woman came out to check on us and ended up escorting us about 20 miles south right to the front door of our cabin. Best people in the world down there.

This is such a great video for me. I live in Ohio and have thought about going to Hatfield and McCoy’s for the last 3 years. I have a Polaris Ranger XP 900 for work around my house and want to give off road a whirl. For a true new person are there guided groups that go out so your not on your own? I’m sure all of us won’t warrant the guides you had but is there something to help the first timer?
@dirttraxtv3 жыл бұрын
You'll love it there. I'm going to direct you to the website trailsheaven dot com. You can probably find the best trail to ride and ask any questions about guided rides as well.

I don’t think a guided tour is needed. If your new to the trail ridding all you have to do is stick to the green trails. I can’t speak for all of the trails; but the Original Pocahontas has a lot of great green trails. Perfect for beginners I took a 2wd (four wheeler) and had No problem on any green or blue trails. It’s a lot of fun.

HMT is great I go at least twice a year and been going there 10 years now. $50 for non West Virginia resident or 25 for WV residents or military can't beat the price for a one year pass. Trails are well maintained. If you want to sight see and look at neat stuff and get some history find a guide to take you on the out law trails. DO NOT GO if you never rode an ATV, SXS or are an inexperienced rider. 10 years ago HMT was not well known as it is today. As the years go by more and more people get injured or die due to being inexperienced or being stupid on the trails. There are a lot of bilnd corners and narrow trails. There are no one way trails. Head on collisions are common. Parts of trails are narrow where one wrong move will have you going off the mountain. You can tell who the new commers are because they don't use hand signals to indicate how many people are in thier group. I love riding HMT and out law trails. I hate inexperienced or stupid riders. They are putting there life's and mine on the line.

100% what you said! I have a recent video on my channel that I talk about all this when I'm doing a ride at Buffalo Mountain.

Bear Wallow certainly isn't well maintained. We went in the spring an almost every truck trail was blocked due to down trees. ATV trails seem to be clear though. Hmmm.....
@tonyspencer43793 жыл бұрын
Nobody uses the truck trails there. Hit up Ivy Branch. There rock crawls there almost every weekend. All of the trails at Ivy are truck friendly too.

Not sure what their ad budget is. Not sure what the intention is for posting this either. Are you attempting to expose that HMT is a sponsor of ours? That has never been a secret. We pretty much state it in every video for HMT and it is all over our website and on our show.
