wow, just discovered you...As a Doce Pares and boxer, I immediately noticed triangle footwork in Lomachenkos movements. Thanks for proving me right. Great video and infinite blessings

Do Manny Pacquiaos' split punch. Its a very slick "JKD" punch (thumb up) to split the guard of opponents. An effect way to punch through a constant blocker, it penetrates the guard of most opponents and sets up a left or right hook

This was one of Mike Tyson's famous moves, that he used with the right cross to the ribs and left hooks to the face!!

I would like to see a video of Tatang utilising this footwork, which by the way is also known as larga mano footwork. Tatang was the king of the centerline while wielding his sword very closely the tip always targeting the opponent. The guy used a sword not a stick in a very aggressive manner.

No disrespect, but it's FANTASY to think that you will have even 1/4 the necessary time, while facing even a basically trained fighter, to A) Recognize a commited lead hook or cross, + B) employ reaction time AFTER deciding your response, + C) Simultaneously duck and step under the entire punch arc, repositioning your body. -The ONLY time this will EVER happen, as drilled, is if you're facing a slow, drunk guy throwing wild, SINGULAR, overly-rounded hooks. I didn't train in FMA for over 25 years to learn to dance with strangers. I personally have NO use for drills that promote muscle-memory that will get your ass beat, or killed, in the street.

This exact footwork already exists in boxing. Just google "Lomachenko".

Andrea Rovai you mean like I say in the thumbnail? We love when this stuff appears in sport--it brings old stuff back to a whole new generation.

Yeah, I realized that an instant later. Sorry

Western Boxing was derived from FMA

@@andstuff8438 that is stipid nonesense that started pretty lately by Filamericans and american "kali" people. All the claims are actually precisely that, claims. Boxing unlike Arnis (which Americans falsely claim to be derived from the mythical Kali) is well documented. You can actually trace the trainers and boxers who changed boxing. True boxing is world sport so a little influence is gained through different countries but the claim made by "Panununtukan" of how it changed boxing is a big hoax and myth. I can actually break down point by poinf each claim of proof but wont waste my time.

FMA in the USA seems to want to claim everything. First it was the mythical mother of all arts Kali and now it thonks Lomanchemcko studied FMA 😂

Just because it looks like lomas footwork it doesnt mean it's arnis footwork. The Russians have their own boxing techniques. 😂
