In case anyone is interested in the two guy characters, they have their own manga! It's named "Reo and Mabu ~Together They're Saranzanmai~" The manga has nothing to do with the anime at all! It focuses on them, and a baby who fell from the sky and now they are taking care of it! It has 11 chapters and is completed!

Ikuhara's shows have always been very polarizing. His shows are heavy on visual storytelling, which often heavily consist of a ton of symbols and metaphors that don't make sense on the surface. His shows don't spoonfeed you information. They're like puzzles you have to piece together yourself.

Wow. This show is very Mawaru Penguindrum esque. I'm also just really confused because I've read the cop's story in manga form and the world seemed pretty different. I'm also just really confused about why these cops are the antagonists in the show. They just seemed like a fluffy couple in the manga and they were just trying to be dads. I'm also guessing that this show is set in the future from the manga because their daughter is the idol Sara in this show and she was just a baby in the manga.

I really love and appreciate Ikuhara's works. I loved Yuri Kuma Arashi, Mawru Penguindrum, and now Sarazanmai. I am currently watching Utena atm. I feel all of Ikuharas works are extremely and criminally underrated. My top favorites are Yurikuma and Peinguindrum ❤. This was a wonderful watch as well though
