Great video. Purchased a 2022 Jetta GLI at the end of the summer last year. First full Spring and Summer are coming up and want to keep my baby clean. Anything i should 100% make sure is free from water?? (Engine and all components are stock GLI.

Thanks Ryan! The only thing I would be worried about would be the intake, cover it up or if you have the stock one just put a microfiber where its at so no water could get in. Other than that you will be fine.

I m curious about did you cover electrical cables and connections ? Also to taking off battery should be better ? It is my first time cleaning so need some more details

just covered my intake newer cars are totally fine! if you are unsure of somethings just cover them, but you should be totally fine.

Blowing off with air is most important followed by a hot sun bath ....or else just wipe it with damp cloth

@@ChaotikGarage I have seen people use the pressure sprayers in lieu of the straight up sudz. If you have been doing this for a while I’m sure it’s good. I have a MK6 GLi and want to do this so bad. Did you cover the alternator at all?

@@hereitcomes3229 YA you just gotta do it and think smart about things. but newer cars from the 2000s are very easy, the wiring is all sealed up. I don't cover it but also i don't just sit there spraying in to it either. the only thing id cover is the intake, even the stock one i would.

Not sure how you can drive your car sitting that low. haha. I mean aesthetically it looks great, but I wouldn't be able to drive down my crappy pot holed street with your car haha. Looks good though.
