I'm glad your experience w/ Bont is good. I have the Vapor MTB that went along with a bike fit that I just couldn't ever get along with. The whole purpose of those shoes was the extra stiffness and width for endurance events like 100mi or more. I've tried remolding them several times...using tricks like building up sections and handle end of a screwdriver to push on it. In the end I had to give up, and just go back to Shimano and just spend more on a higher model.

Great effort guys. The same day 20th June, I did a solo ride of 285kms. Only around 10% on gravel roads but it was very large loose gravel. Just under 3,000 metres of climbing. I was thoroughly cooked by the end but what a great way to spend the day. Looking forward to doing 300kms then 200 miles.

@@Fernwee you can but means putting a lot of tarmac to get to our next gravel section... places that are good are in Scotland or down South of England... but central part of the UK loads of roads to find gravel sections...

Wayne Renshaw - Gravelrideruk most roads in the Netherlands are paved too. When I lived in The Hague I had trouble to find gravel, but now I moved to Utrecht and it’s been great for gravel!

It's always funny that people want to add material for what they think is protection from getting a hot spot. In actuality more material added feels good for the first 30 minutes. Then an even worse tissue pressure (from added material) causes skin breakdown.

Brilliant video! Quick question about tubeless tires and co2. Do you find that the co2 freezes the tubeless sealant inside? Just wondering if I can use co2 instead of a pump.

CO2 can degrade the latex quality of the sealant over time- this happened to me with Stan's. So use the CO2 to re-seat a bead or for the duration of your ride and just replace with air when you get home...bit of an expensive way to pump tyres though.

Do you run into any issues with the bottom bottle hitting your crank when you twist it out? I just got one of those new 590ml Fidlocks (since they're finally available here in the US) and mine hits ever so slightly. I can still get the bottle out, but I definitely have to flex it a bit to get it to fully disengage.

HUGE ride completed, Chapeau Martijn. Good visuals and music as normal. Did you take any tubeless plugs with you? I've found dynaplug to be excellent when I've had holes larger than the sealant can cope with.

Yeah I had them with me, but luckily we didnt get any holes that were too big for the sealant to take care of 🤞🏻
