Love this song. Doesn't sound right without Icelandic accent! Im trying to learn it and can't quite get the finger picking right....then it goes if I try n sing lol. Go9d job

Thank you so much! Yeah, it's a bit tricky to sing this song together with the fingerpicking, but after a lot of practice something just clicks. Muscle memory is your friend. I'm Norwegian, so the Icelandic accent comes very natural to me.

Thank you so much! Sorry for answering your comment 100 years later, but I just wanted to clear up why the capo was on the 5th fret. My guitar was tuned in D G C F A D, "Nirvana-style". I was too lazy to tune the guitar back to normal, so I found it much easier to just place the capo two frets higher.

this is pretty good, but I feel like the hard down chord could be played softer and less ferociously.

Thank you! I could have done that, but personally I thought it sounded better this way. Felt that it stayed true to the original, which is quite epic and hard-hitting in that part. But it also sounds rougher in the video than it actually was. The microphone in the Canon EOS 550D is not the best, so loud and high pitched sounds gets a bit unpleasant to the ears. I'm going to buy a better mic someday :P
