Having been around a gigging band starting (4 of my friends) at 12 yrs old then at 18 yrs. old my friends were the band who opened for any signed band who came here and then knowing every band in my region where some ended up with record deals and some didn't I'd like to think I know music and musicianship well. Well then, you and Sara absolutely crushed it!!! Your baritone and her tenor voices compliment each other so perfectly. I noticed that unspoken chemistry between the two of you also. Just like yourself I've loved this song from the first time I heard it. I know this is a short message sorry for that. 🤨 It's not like it's obvious I've been a writer for 3 decades now is it? I think in this case thanking yourself and Sara is how is should be. What I can say is that I've been listening to Artists perform both live and online again some videos of live performances, some studio/home or otherwise for decades. Too many to admit to I'll age myself but my point being is that I am very finicky about what I will or will not give my time and attention to. You Chrizz deserve all the time and attention. Not gonna lie, they were producing that one up a bit with some tracks in the mix. I mean, it was okay, but doesn't even come CLOSE to the original. If you are going to cover a song there are two ways to do it, and only two ways: 1) Cover it exactly as the og. and do it better. An example of this is "I Fought The Law" by the Clash. Or 2) Completely reinvent the song, re-interpret it (and make an improvement or a much needed fresh take). An example of this is "Running Up That Hill" by Placebo. This cover did neither of those two. This is okay for a cruise ship or an afternoon at the coffee house, but not the accolades it is getting here. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
