My late father was one of those guys that you just couldn't get him to laugh. I remember when we watched this, he laughed so hard that snot came out of his nose. That was the one and only time saw him belly laugh, and for that I will eternally be thankful for this splendid movie!

The nanosecond pause before, “and others” is genius It suggests a back story where ‘someone’ got hurt Also….. the fact that they’re having this swanky meal. And Ruprect is given only apple sauce. Apple sauce is hilarious. Ravioli wouldn’t have worked quite as well. Nor would semolina. Apple sauce. Perfect Little details like these make this movie what it is….. comedy gold on the top level
