At some con in Belgium or The Netherlands some seller had his entire profit stolen must be devastating. I think I got robbed once for a 20-30 dollar game but still not 100% sure and another guy who grabbed cib instead of box+game after paying.. also not a game with huge value and I probably payed 1-2$ for it anyway but still not fun to happen

The thing is it’s not hard for sellers to invest some money into a ring camera or other battery operated cameras that will record during the whole con. It’s worth the price if you set up a lot and have high value items.

There was a different booth at GameOn that had a tote of games on the floor to the side. There were copies of Kid Klown, Zombie Nation, bunch of other $100+ games. Just sitting on the floor where the people running the booth couldn't see. I'm surprised more stuff wasn't reported stolen

Crime requires motivation, justification, and opportunity. The motivation is obvious; games are fun. The justification is that they're too expensive and it's a mostly physically harmless crime. More visible staff or security at cons would go a looooong way towards mitigating opportunity/perceived opportunity. And it has the benefit of making cons more inviting to women and families.

Gabbo (and everybody else) don't do the SNES hole collection. Too many bad games. I'd rather see Gabbo curating a more personal SNES collection. I realize bad games are often cheap so its not about over spending. Think about it more like music and movies. You wouldn't collect albums and films that you don't like or wouldn't enjoy. When your collection is made up of more bad games than games you love it will change from a collection into fodder for a Phoenix resale video.
