Nice to see those old school bmx bikes, it takes me right back to 1981 when I started racing! My first BMX had a coaster brake which soon had to be upgraded to a freewheel as it made it impossible to jump over the ramps!

I was in the same boat as you but I couldn’t convince my dad to upgrade my rims!! Racing with that setup was always a disaster. Thanks for the comment and for watching!!🤙🏼

Nice video. I appreciate BMX collecting and restoring. community even more after watching this. I am a 90s racing pro, and I had restored a personal Robinson Pro XL, fully shining, looking NOS is you will. I just wanted to show my team mates and GT Nation the bike, Entering a content didn't dawn on me until a judge saw me riding around and gave me shit for not entering it. He said I would had been docked a point for my brakes but the bike would had won, he said. I don't know., lol.

Wow, thatʻs awesome man! Yeah, consider entering it next year! Just make sure those brakes are dialed in! It was really interesting talking to Byron about all of that stuff. I have a Skyway that we built that I want to enter here in Hawaii one of these days. Definitely gonna take his advice if I do! Appreciate you taking the time to comment and watch the video! 🤙🏻

Man, I don’t miss the banana forks. They never failed me thank goodness. My first bike was a orange and black Shuck’s deluxe banana seat and forks. Could wheelie that bike for days. Very cool seeing all those bike from my childhood. Thanks again for a rocking video. Cheers bros

We didn’t although we thought about it! We actually had no room left in our suitcases. We did end up picking up some parts from Billet BMX and from Stacked and Frank’s Bikes after the show. The Gary Turner collab with Billet BMX parts are going on the GT! Thanks for the comment and for watching!! 🤙🏼

Love this video. I'm still kicking myself for not attending Dirty Feast; I was only 2 hours away. I ended up not going because of the rain, I have seen this video properly 4 times and am still catching up on all the bikes you showed. Who would you recommend to follow to stay up on the latest shows or meets like a Dirty Feast? Thanks, you guys are FN rad.

Sliding a foot and a half on your forehead over the handlebars at his age? Get a neck brace and a bottle of Ibuprofen. OUCH ! On a brighter note, I had completely forgotten about "Black Chrome" frames and forks. Damn those sure are sexy lookin' bikes. Sence the pink Hutch and yellow GT are spoken for, what new frame and fork set are you gonna use for a "Black Chrome Bougie Beauty"?😉 1
