When you say osmotic damage due to sorbitol accumulation, do you mean its accumulation in the lens leading to cataracts? Also wouldnt he pkc pathway damage the vessels of the eye and cause blurry vision due to lack of blood flow?

Ehh that's stretching it a bit. Obviously PKC Pathway activation can invariably lead to damage in any end-organ target since it's compromising blood flow but it's not the best answer.

Btw it’s “Aldose reductase”, not “aldolase reductase.” Reductase part already has the suffix “ase” to make it an enzyme.
