It's so great that Kathy mentioned a "Fountain Conductor." I was at Downtown Disney at Disneyland with my high school band once and at the end of the day, we were waiting to get on the Mickey and Friends Tram. For those of you know are familiar with this area, there is a flower shaped fountain. I watched the fountain for about 2 or 3 full loops, and started to "conduct" the fountain. I did this for about twenty minutes and gathered a crowd. I got some band mates and little kids to learn the loop cycle and when we left, there were still people doing what I started. It was pretty great to create that kind of magic for some little kids and pass it on. I don't know if there is a show at that fountain or not, but that was a great experience.

I was working at Disneyland for $2.06 and hour in 1971, when Magic Kingdom opened. A round trip ticket from LAX to Orlando was $200. WDW might as well have been on the far side of the moon. It took 17 years before I was able to make my first trip to Orlando. I bought one of those clunky VHS camcorders to record my trip. At that time, I didn't know when or if I would see WDW again. Little did I know that in a little more than 3 years, due to corporate downsizing, I would find myself living in Orlando. I've had an annual pass ever since, and have loved being able to visit whenever I want, and with no pressure. Now I'm "retired" and caring for my father. We both have annual passes. I LOVE all of the details.

This is a strange one, but every time I have to have bandages on my knees it reminds me of when I was 15 at Epcot. Rafiki was out meetin and greetin, and he just strolled up to me and started doing magic on my knee, waving his stick and everything. Magic!!

I adore you Disnerds! I love that you've never lost your sense of wonder over WDW, even though you're around it so much. Great episode!

Gosh, I guess I AM "normal" then, lol. My text tone on my phone is the monorail warning. I have about 10-15 theme park music loops from WDW & US/IOA on my laptop and play them when I'm in the mood (taking a shower, doing work on my computer, sitting on our deck with my wife, etc.). Like Pete was saying early in the episode, I have TONS of WDW/US promotional and Travel Channel videos I put on DVD. I even recorded the ones they play on the local tourist channel in Orlando (with Stacy) to put in my collection. We watch these, starting about a week before a trip, to get us in the mood. We would end up with lots of napkins in our backpack from the different restaurants and we'd use them at home as a cute little reminder of our trip. We would collect fastpasses. I took a few and inserted them in a glass coaster with a slit in it and use it in my office. It's great, lol! Man, I could go on and on!

This episode makes me very happy! Thank you for bringing back my memories while listening to yours! Some of my favorite things at Disney World...the light up walkways in Epcot, the tree guy at Animal Kingdom, Wishes, the soap and shampoo at the resorts (I always bring a few...more than a few...home with me and every now and then I will use some just so I can smell like Disney World), the Magical Express (I love the video!)...just so many things. I cannot wait to take my daughter for her first visit so I can see it all again for the first time through her eyes!

"Back when dirt was young" - BAH! You all are so funny and informative. I used to live off the DIS Boards when I lived in San Francisco seven years ago and couldn't get to Disneyland as often as I do now. Had to get my fix, y'know? Love you, love your podcast!

For me it IS the little things that make my trip each and every time. From the outstanding customer service from the Cast Members, to the very physical details like those attraction posters at the Magic Kingdom or the little metal survey markers you'll find sporadically across the parks imbedded in the pavement - for me, it's everything. I know for you folks that get to experience it daily, at least some of its lustre must have worn off by now, but when you've got to travel about 2,000 miles and wait a few years to watch that cheesy video on the Magical Express or hear the announcer come on the bus and tell you "it's all waiting for you today, here at Epcot (or whichever park)" it's like you're simultaneously re-living and remembering all your past vacations while anxiously awaiting all the new memories you're about to make from the current one. It really is "all in the details"!

Loved this segment! I'm going back in less that three weeks, this got me so excited about it! One thing that always reminds me that I'm on holiday is the smell of the water in Florida. That may sound a little weird, but the smell of the water is different to at home! I always smell the water when I'm going on a water ride like splash mountain - reminds me I'm on holiday!

When I first arrived in Orlando, the first thing John did was pour a glass of water and asked me to smell it. He said "What does that remind you of" and I said "Pirates of the Caribbean". We have an unusual amount of chlorine in our water here. I liken it to drinking out of your swimming pool!

I liked the "happy" memories shared. I even liked Craig's description of the aspects of the Parks that he enjoyed, but the amount of cynicism and sarcasm in his earlier comments was out of place, given the nature of this episode. Overall, the opinion is valid, just not fitting with today's theme. Thank you for all the enjoyment TheDIS provides us every week, across the social media universe.

I'm sitting at my computer, eating my breakfast, watching 'Dis Unplugged'. I love your show. Pete, you are amazing. I love your show. You are Justin are brilliant. And the various cast of characters on your panel helps add to your show. I like hearing other's perspectives (Kathy, Shawn, etc.). But, why in the world is that buzz kill Craig on your show. He gets me depressed. He is so negative. He really takes away from your show.

I actually was a fan and listener of the podcast before I joined and the thing about the DIS Unplugged that grabbed my attention, like most listeners, is that Pete and the gang are genuine, honest and not afraid to tell the truth especially when things aren't so magical. I apologize for being honest and depressing you with my extreme amount of negativity and sarcasm, but thank you for your honest feedback. Also, his name is Dustin not Justin.
