Thank you so very much for creating your video and explaining how and when SSDI reviews occur. I soon will be 66. Today, for who knows what reason, I realized that I have never had to have a review. I think that I was approved for SSDI about 4-5 years ago. Now I can rest easy knowing that it is unlikely that I will have to have a review! Thank you so very much for clearly articulately why my SSDI will convert to "retirement". I am most appreciative!!!!!

I have watched a few of your videos trying to understand SSDI which for me will start in March of 2018. I have found them very informative. TY

Got a CDR in the mail on July 20,2018...about 2-3 weeks before my 50th birthday...August 11, 2018...no improvements in health but I'm still worried about being denied. I had to take my case in front of the ALJ. Been on disability alittle over 4 years now

Pebbles Reaves How did everything turn out for you? I just got a short form CDR and was wondering do I add an additional paperwork or just fill out what they sent? I do pray that everything went well with you.

So is it forms for the review they will send you for us to fill out? Should we collect documents and doctor visits together to send in with forms?

If your 50 or over SSI/SSD already know the job market were that age group is concern there are no jobs. So even if they do a review which I find highly unlikely that they will cancel benefits. I think they are just trying to make sure that their is no fraud involved.

I usually stress to my older clients (over the age of 50) that a review is probably not likely but extremely possible. The closer you get to retirement age, the less likely a review. However, we recently experienced an increase in reviews in 2016 so I caution people to never think they won't get a review just because of their age.

Reeves Law Firm, P.A. - I received a review letter back in December 2016, and I'm 53 years old. I filled it out and got a letter back saying that they would review me again at a later date and my disability benefits would continue for now. I've had 2 strokes since I went on disability in 2015.

@@ReevesfirmDisabilityLaw So given what you said in the video, what do you think my chances are for SSDI approval with my age 63, HIV, High Blood Pressure and diabetic neuropathy?

I was approved at 58 and I could get a review in 5-7 years. At minimum I’ll be 63. I wonder if I’ll get one?

I have had my dsp for two and a half years. I am almost 52 and I called to express my concerns about getting a letter to be reviewed. She was abrupt and told me older people won't be getting out of the review and if we stop your payments you have to go onto new start and find work.

I have that too. Had 2 massive heart attacks. Has my heart operating at 45%. My first review it had gone up to 46%, but everything was the same. Doc said it would probably never improve to past 55%. Had 2 strokes too. Still have the effects of paralysis on both sides. Now this time I get the short form, yet I'm still worried about losing my benefits.

You have to continue to see your doctor and receive treatment regularly. Also, make sure they are charting your disabilities in their doctor's notes. They need to be sure to document your limitations and that they are not improved or are worsening.

I heard somewhere that there's a maximum amount people receive on disability and then they get cut off, or is $300K just the average most receive over their lifetime?
