After owning my car for almost a year now. I finally found a way to completely disable the BEEPING chime on the Camry!

are you slow? the ding only happens when you DON'T have the seatbelt on. Therefor, if your car's seatbelt alarm is dinging, that means you're not wearing your seatbelt. dude just put on your seatbelt @@phoenixmyers2933

Another thing this helps with is if you are loading stuff up on your Camry that cant fit in the trunk and cant buckle the belt.. already happened to me twice. Not everyone likes the super loud chime this car makes. So just try to understand from personal experience

Grab a spare buckle or two at the junkyard to simply shut the thing up. You'll get a ticket though in town. Don't forget. I permanently disabled mine. One day I'll put a new speaker in there behind the gauges but it doesn't affect the BSM sounds at all. Silence is gold

If I had bought my car brand new I would have insisted they disable the seatbelt nag before purchasing. I bought mine used so I had to do it myself. My Ram truck had a hack to turn the engine on and off then buckle/unbuckle 3 times to disable it. Much easier than installing an expensive app.

There's indicator lights on the cluster. I permanently aborted my cluster speaker. I can listen to the radio with the door open. When I'm going down the road I have no more distractions. The beep causes you to look at the wrong things and is dangerous.

Good to know. However, I feel I should point out that most auto fatalities occur within a short distance from home. Make the ding stop, but always wear your seatbelt. Due to no fault of your own, you could have gotten smoked at the intersection, in that 400 foot trip, or on a run to the grocery store.

2019 xse -started getting that beeps (doors-moonroof) first day of purchase. And last night lost patience ended up smashed my 2019. Oh what has made me come to this point BEEPING Once Twice softly is fine but I totally can’t stand beep beep beep like someone is dying. People actually do have circumstances where this beeping is annoying. Like driving 3 of my kids and three hockey bags on the seats and hearing that beep non stop because it doesn't understand that the weight is not a person. There are literally dozens of other reasons. sometimes even a small amount of weight in an unoccupied passenger seat causes it to go off. I usually wear my seat belt(if Im in a vehicle that has them, most vehicles prior to 1965 model year don't have any seatbelt whatsoever, and only lap belt until around 1970), but I really don't need a deafening buzzer to make me wear it. If I'm just driving in a field I usually don't, but if I'm on a highway I usually do(as long as the vehicle I'm driving has seat belts). I don't think the presence of a buzzer has ever caused me to wear a seat belt when I wouldn't have otherwise.

I don't believe its Toyota, more so like a fresh hot coffee that says "HOT MAY CAUSE SEVERE BURNS" for liability reasons and government regulations. 😅😅 obviously people know about seatbelts and yes sometimes wvwn people that wear them forget but this is too damn much and should be disabled easily... i mean there are states where over 18 you dont have to wear one and it shouldn't go off in a parking lot.
