Disabling the GM CHIME

My 2002 Buick Regal door dinger only works when the key is turned on to the run position when the driver’s door is open and you insert the key in the ignition the door chime doesn’t work. Where is my door chime located for my 2002 Buick regal I couldn’t find any how to videos how to fix it. Thanks.

Will the chime still work after being disconnected from the BCM? Just wondering because I got a little project I wanna try out. I wanna use it on my 94 F-150 chime module.

On my 05 Yukon I had swapped a junkyard radio that caused my chime to be unbearably loud so I did some KZbin reading and found out all I had to do is cut the tan wire to my left door speaker it's inside the rubber boot by the hinge area. I still have a slight chime from the back door but I'm not going to worry about it. Update: the radio that I swapped is now doing the same thing the other radio did it's set at 12:00 when I get up in the morning to start the vehicle and the battery is a slightly low I know that if I let it sit longer it will drain the battery in 3 or 4 days

What you did is cut the positive door speaker wire

Wires aren't plugged in all the way if any of those plugs aren't all the way in will make the truck not start
