Disbable Ignition Chime

THANK YOU! Have an 02 2500HD Duramax and I have hated that sound for 16 years. Followed your instructions and in less than 30 minutes that little bastard was sitting on my workbench. I’ve had that dash apart half a dozen times trying to find the origin of that sound. Thanks Again..

When you pull this chime do you still get a sound when your oil pressure drops or you overheat? I’d like to keep those warnings

My 03 yukon xl doesn't have that in the bcm. Apparently '03 to 07 tahoes, yukon silverado and different, it sounds like it goes through door speakers.

1:23 I found a daytime running lamp module underneath the dash. Canadian made, so I figured they just added that to add DRL's. Unplugged it to see if that would work and bingo! No more DRL's, lights still function as normal. 2000 chevy express 1500 conversion van 5.7l

What about the Saturn Relay, any idea how I remove that chime bell? Mine's never goes off.

My door chime was constantly on even with the key out and my truck would be dead overnight

my grandpa's 06 gmc doesn't even make any noisds

It may have been disabled already? My '07 chimes through the stereo speakers. I haven't figured out how to disable this yet! It's not as annoying though so I may not need to. It also has a switch to turn off headlights without engaging the parking brake. Better design by GMC.
