Marie you're right the sausages from farmer's choice are the best. 😊 You are glowing. 🤍 The shot/tot glass made my day. 😁 You reminded me of how we used to carry a carton of biscuits and juice to school. 😂😂 I'm sure when you visit Kenya you'll carry lots of stuffs. 🤗

I do like your videos, however I encourage you to consider adopting a more culturally relativistic approach when comparing foods. Currently, your approach can seem a bit ethnocentric, as it judges other cultures primarily by the standards of your own. This might unintentionally offend viewers who come from or appreciate those cultures. Cultural relativism involves understanding and valuing foods and traditions from that cultural contexts, rather than comparing them directly to your own experiences. This shift could help create a more inclusive and respectful atmosphere in your reviews, which could appeal to a broader audience. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to seeing how your reviews evolve with this perspective!"

For some of those items like biscuits, also try Indian Stores, middle Eastern stores or Spanish stores.

Walmart, Kroger and HEB (Texas) has several types of biscuits in the Latin American foods section. And like someone else said, Indian and Spanish stores have some similar products like Kenyan ones. West African stores are everywhere and have some too. For the most part, authentic Kenyan products are very limited.

Great content. I like your experience from abroad. It is an adjustment. You'll need several months or at least one year to find your balance hehe. About the dish soap, you can look for hypoallergenic dish soap. It is for sensitive skin. And generally organic or natural stuff is better. Can't wait to see you adjusting to your new environment 💪🏾

It seems you're disparaging American food and it's unfortunate. It's obvious that when you go to another country food will taste different but disparaging other people 's food leaves a bitter taste in some mouths. I'm not American but I think being sensitive would help.

Unfortunately Africans have been sold this facade of how great America is until you land here and realise my gosh Africa is waaay better. Your best bet is to make your own to your taste. I know what it feels like to be out of your country and adjusting to new tastes. When coming into South Africa our cases were searched for food stuffs and I didn't appreciate the sniffer dogs in my cases. Also the security asking if anyone brought cheese. Anyway sis I hope you will adjust to your new environment. It's sad when you order things and get fakes. I like a certain butter and if it's not to my taste I also don't eat it. All the best Marie.

Sausages you freeze them, wrap in paper towels, then put in a ziplock bag. Make sure your transit times are not too long. While on the flights, sausages actually stay frozen. Winter time is the best time to bring sausages.. You should know it’s forbidden to bring meats here, therefore make sure you don’t get caught by customs otherwise they toss them out, make you pay a fine and then they put you on a list whereby you will be inspected every time you travel. I am not sure it’s worth it. There is also an Irish sausage maker here called “Tommy Maloneys”. Irish people call them bangers. These are also close to Kenyan sausages (but I find them a bit saltier).

@adventuresofmarie 3 ай бұрын
Oh yeah it's def not worth that hustle. I will try the Irish one thank you
