This had happened to me as well...i sprayed the body with fabreze fabric spray and added a baby powder wonder wafer into the baby's diaper...it helped a lot!! The smoke smell did dissipate and she smells like baby powder now. Hope this helps. The bub is so cute!! 😊

Hey there, I am new here but I got a baby that was HORRIBLY smoke filled. I’d really try to take her apart and wash it in the washer with vinegar and baking soda. There’s lots of other things you can do beyond that as well.

Omg. I feel so so sorry for you. Your talking over a year for the smell to go. I had the same problem even after washing and changing the entire body it had got into the vinyl. I'd sent it back thats the best advice I can give you. So sorry 😢

I'm a doll hunter and one time I found a real good collector doll vinyl and soft body but the smell was terrible and I detached arms and legs and washed the body , I mean the fabric and put new cotton and cigarette smell was gone because the smell was only on the fabric not on arms or legs .

Yes I took the doll apart and I changed out the fabric and the filling material and now she smells good 😊

Oh no. I’m sorry it smells like smoke. I have scent issues with smoke, food, soaps, lotions……they should have said they smoked. Atleast you can switch body easily.

Sorry it smells, that happen to me too, the smell has faded on the vinyl but I washed the body and it still smells. So sorry to give u bad news.

That stinks that happened. I had that happen with a box of clothing and shoes I bought. Although I was able to wash them several times to rid the smell, harder to do with a baby. Hope you find a solution.

I'm so sorry you got into this. I just finished going through it with a vinyl doll that smelled like a combination of new shower curtain and skunk. Awful! Luckily her body was not the problem. It was her head. Her clothes stunk, but I could wash them and they seemed to have protected the body from the plastic nausea smell. Once I had her washed and aired out, she was fine. But cigarette smoke? Ugh. I see this is a year old and I hope you were able to fix her - what an adorable face!

Unfortunately, your best choice would be toss the body, be very careful washing the head if its peeling, but I would request a return. So sorry sweetie ❤xo

I remember I bought a doll kit once, it smelled really bad of smoke. I eventually got rid of the smell but it took ages. You should have been to it was coming from a smoking house hold. Hugs from Scotland ❤

Amazon has baby powder scented wafers that you could rub all over her body and hair. I use them on my dolls and they all smell wonderful like baby powder. They aren't very expensive and it might be worth a try.

Put outside on a breezy sunny day ,spray with febreze a couple of time,when she’s dry put bounce sheets all over her,not her face.she will smell much better.

I'm a smeller, and that's why I just prefer the full body vinyl and Silicones. I get really flustered when my cloth bodies smell. Drives me nuts! During winter, cooking had my cloth bodies smelling like food. I had to put them up!! Put the body in the sun to sun out, then add some wafers. Wipe entire doll off with baking soda water. ..🌻🌈❤🥰

Try putting her in a sealed bag with a couple cache bags of baking soda or maybe just place a couple inside her ... Baking soda should help absorb most of the smell.

@@deespreciousnursery2329 I’m sorry this happened to you i got scammed with custom trade a long sold out kit for custom wanted a Biracial baby and I got sent doll that look like a Walmart baby and then once I pick her up I notice the smoke smell and the seller told lies and said she never smoke and that I sent a knock offs kit when I didn’t and she sent me a beautiful baby with huge box opening that was a lie I got two outfits and a very strong smoke filled baby I posted about in the doll groups but because she had over 900 happy customers I was painted as a lire and now been black listed from the dolly world I posted my box opening of that on another channel. It’s sad people do this and really need to state you have pets and smoke, but they don’t they blame the usps drives that make ur doll smell like that mine was so bad it was bake in the vinyl she chained smoke while painting my dolls and bake the smell in

I NEVER smoke around my babies or in my house. I as a smoker know that it stinks just can't kick the habit. As far as I know I don't think you can get the smell out and I am an owner and artist. Hopefully someone out there knows of a way

You will have to open up a small section in the seam of the arms and legs a section thats straight to make it easier to stitch back up in order to remove the stuffing and weighting from the limbs than you could try washing it see if you can get the smell out

Baby has a cute face/ I brought a Chrissy doll off of EBay and when the box arrived it reeked of smoke I had to soak the doll and it still smelled perhaps if you can’t take it apart you may have to purchase a cuddle body to change it (if you’re able to take everything out then I’d wash the body and put in new filling hopefully 🤞🏽 this will help/ sorry this happened to you ❤

Awe so sorry youre baby smells like cigarette smoke ive had to many bad experiences with smoky babies and i had to clean them with bleach and prell shampoo in soaking the limbs and heads in a water mix and over time i learned you can also soak them in backing soda so the paint dont come off to. Put the gead in some baking soda after you empy the glass beads and soak the weighting material in bleach or replace it and wash the body like you would clothe's and air dry the body. But good luck in cleaning your cuddle, baby doll.

Well, THAT just SUCKS! :( I collect Children's vintage leather shoes from mostly 1940 & 50s, and "Do they have any odors such as Musty/Mildew, Cigarettes/Smoke, or MOTHBALLS" is the first question I always ask...but ugh, never thought I would have to ask that as far as reborns, UGHHHH, yeah that really sucks! It should have been disclosed to you :( I imagine you can wash the clothing and dismantle the body and hand wash it, and restuff with new stuffing. Try washing down the vinyl and her hair ...maybe all with baby shampoo? BUT YEAH, keep all of it away from your other dolls, heck, you whole household because unfortunately, it will spread. BTW, I have a pair of leather baby shoes that reeked of mothballs, STILL taped up in a paper bag with charcoal(suppose to work to remove odors) for about ten years, and ugh, they still reek, so I am praying your baby can get "freshened". You should think WASH, odor REMOVAL, rather than covering up, because covering it up... it will eventually creep back.

Thats awful that your baby smells like smoke. You could take the head and put it on the body you are getting a head for. Then you can still enjoy your baby and still have a body for the head thats coming. Then you can work on the smoke body. I suggest soaking the empty body in diluted fabric softener. Soak it for a couple hours in warm water. Rinse thoroughly and then hang to dry. That should get rid of the smoke smell. I hope that helps. God bless sweetie♡♡♡♡♡♡ Ps, youll have to toss the polyfill inside but the glass beads, if any, would need to be put into a new stocking but the glass beads will be fine.

Hi Donna so cute but the smell trumps the cuteness I would think..the discs on the limbs are very very hard to get off and when you put back together they might just fall out like a arm ..I strongly believe your gonna need a new body and probably wash the head as well and let dry ..try fabric softener mixed with water on the hair...ive made a few of these cuddly bodies now but that's my suggestion.🤷‍♀️..what a bummer ...see if the seller will reimburse you for a body as well...I hate cigarette smoke.
