Hello Guys love watching your videos 👍I feel for you both the plane track have been closed for some time now you would think National parks would have it signed down the bottom

Gday Kerry, We did check their web site when we got back, and it was listed as closed for Maintenance…… for 6 + months, blaming weather as the reason….. , I think that is very poor form by National Parks. Anyway we had a great time, and just went back up yesterday to do the Razorback Track 👍 Cheers, Karl & katty

welcome to our neck of the woods. A little history for you guys. Firstly the Monto range used to be a very dangerous piece of road and still is to some extent and even not so many years back a log truck driver plummeted over the side about three turns down to his peril. Secondly, the Awoonga dam that Boynedale is situated at the top of is probably at its driest in a decade with the water usually right up along the river bank there and in the 2011/2013 floods actually went to around the floor level of the central toilet blocks, and finally when it comes to tourist attractions and the roads to them you can always rely on our regions councils to place the road closed signs as far away from the sensible notifying point as they can possibly manage. lol True story. I hope you enjoyed your stay and came into Gladstone for a look at the harbour and beaches while here. Safe and happy travels guys.

Gday Wayneo, We liked the area so much, we went back. We have just done the Razorback track, but the bomber track was still closed. Thanks for your support and comments, we appreciate it. Cheers, Katty and karl

Hello you two vagabonds in Australia Unfortunately I was bullied the last few weeks, the young guys couldn't get along without their former Senior Engineer and I had to get up again, early. Very nice to see how you drive across the beautiful landscape and enjoy how wonderful Australia is, apart from the mad politicians who can still give you, because here there are also enough of such sick patients. Greetings from Frankfurt

Hi Gerold, I hope your work improves. We are in a very luck country. It is very good except for our politicians who do not have the people’s best interests in mind. I will confirm where my father lived, not to far from Frankfurt, I think. Cheers, Karl & katty

👍videos are getting more professional, driving over camera view and the drop off drive down the tracks turn around drive back shots, Katty gets the extra walking and dust😁, Karl how many times have you waited for Katty to walk back to the truck and drive off and stop and drive off again 🤣

Hi Derek, Thanks for the positive feed back. We are moving in the right direction, our next focus is to improve on our “voice” sound quality. I dare not do the drive off thing, I use to do it to Katty when the kids were in the car, and we thought it was hilarious, but now she would kill me 😂. Cheers

Hi ya friends. Can ya tell me where to get a set of bobbleheads like ya have pls? Cheers Glen.
@nowhereboundtouring2 жыл бұрын
Hi Glen, Oh no not the bobble heads. Katty got them from America E Bay. They are “Howdy” collectors items, but you may be able to still get something similar. 👍

I feel your disappointment as I went there in late January Q.L.D parks web site said it was opening on 17th Jan.
@nowhereboundtouring2 жыл бұрын
Hi Steven, Yep…… but on the bright side, the bomber crash site got us up to the area, so we could check it all out. We have since been back up there to do the Razorback track. What a good scenic ridge line track. Cheers, karl

Unsuitable for trucks and caravans....so you go right ahead?
@nowhereboundtouring2 жыл бұрын
Hi David, Log trucks, trucks and buses frequently use this road. There is no issue using the road, provided you take adequate precautions, such as calling in you location via UHF radio at every call point location etc. The two main issues are the gradient and that two large vehicles can not pass each other. Cheers, karl

Very typical of qld national parks,close a track or road or some sort of attraction for some menial reason and then just forget to reopen them,sometimes i think they think if they keep them closed long enough people will eventually forget about them and then they can eventually close them permanently,national parks just don't want people going into "our"national parks.
@nowhereboundtouring2 жыл бұрын
Gday Jason, I agree and feel the same. It is not just Qld National Parks, it seems to be the same everywhere. Best we see it all before it is all closed off. Cheers, karl
