Disassembling an Asus all in one PC to replace the Hard Drive with a Samsung 860 EVO Solid State Drive is not difficult once you know how. We will show you how we managed this task. It was a learning process for us and if we can do this job, so can you. We where confident that we could not only Disassemble an Asus all in one PC it (that is always easy bit) but also put it back together. No sophisticated tools were needed. An old credit card, a kitchen spatula and a few screwdrivers and the back was off the PC. But before tearing it to bits make sure you have the SSD cloned and the correct parts to hold it in place.
We used a Sabrent 2.5 Inch to 3.5 Inch Internal Hard Disk Drive Mounting Kit (BK-HDDH). Here is an Affiliated Amazon link so you can buy the correct part:

In a series of videos we will show you all the stages of cloning to a Samsung 860 EVO Solid State Drive from the Hard Drive from my ASUS ET2702I all in one PC and give you information on the products we used. In an easy to understand tutorial. Showing any problems we experienced and we had a few, but they were easily overcome. We could have edited them out to look cleaver but you will learn more from them, if I leave them in.
You will need an SSD. We chose a Samsung 860 Evo because it is new to the Samsung range and although it has a better memory (the new V NAND memory) and a better controller than the older 850, it is (at the time of writing this) cheaper. This Samsung SSD has dramatically improved our aging 4 year old PC. It was adequate for 4K video editing but the new SSD has improved my Editing Programs performance. Asus don't make this model now, but we still love it and with the SSD upgrade it has been transformed. It has been superseded by the Asus Zen AiO Pro Z240ICGT All-in-One Desktop PC. I used a Samsung 860 EVO SSD with a sata connection. But check your PC is also satta type. Once cloned and swapped with the original it worked.

I think you are refering to the power brick that powers the all in one? Input 100-240 2.0 AMPS (that is the AC power that goes into the power brick from the house power supply) Output: 19.5 volts-7.7 AMPS (that is the DC power that goes into the PC from the power brick) I hope this helps you.😀

Hi beremour. I am confused by the term: back shield. If you are referring to powering the all in one on while it is disassembled, you would need to be careful not to touch anything live. It could damage the PC and you.

I have replied the HDD with an SSD in my Asus laptop and in my desktop PC. But before I ordered the SSD I took the back of them to look at the drive and the SATTA connection type. New PC can have M.2 SSD connectors that are better than the SATTA type. If you get the correct drive it will work on your PC.😀

Hi Yulians. Once you have cloned the drive with windows on it, to the SSD. The SSD now has your windows operating system on it. Then when you replace the old drive with the new SSD, you have 2 identical copies of Windows. The old drive can be used as a storage system by putting it into an enclosure. See the video I made of the enclosure by using the link at the end of this video (top left). When you power up the enclosure with the USB plugged into the PC. Use windows explorer and look for 2 new drive letters. One has the operating system on it, the other has your files. You can copy any files across to the new drive, or keep them on the HDD. The windows operating system on the old HDD can be kept. I delegated mine using windows disc manager. Then I made a systems image of the SSDs Windows operating system. If I then have a problem, that systems image allows me to restore the PC. To make a systems image, Control Pannel, type File History into the search, click on the header (in Blue letters) File History, look at the bottom left corner for, Systems Image.

Hi Henry. Yes you can but there is one problem, it costs more. The cost effective way to go is to use the old HDD that you have removed from your PC as storage. Hi Astig Tig. It all depends on your PCs motherboard. The Asus PC in this video has the maximum RAM it can take. So in this case NO. Your PC may have extra capacity, so check with the motherboard manufacture and if you can increase it, it will improve performance. But make sure the RAM you fit is the correct type for your PC.

Hi Mineistebest. Power from the national grid, in my case, 240V AC at 50 Hz. This goes into a power brick (but the power brick can convert down to 100V input at 50 to 60 Hz). It comes out of the power brick into the PC at 2.5 A at 19.5 V DC.

Sorry to hear you are having problems. Did you use the cloning program that I use in this KZbin video: Cloning to a Samsung 860 EVO Solid State Drive from an Hard Drive from an ASUS ET2702I all in one PC If you followed this video to clone the HDD to the SSD, you should be able swap the drives and then log into Windows. All without entering the PC Bios. The the digital digital information is the same on both drives. Or did you use a different cloning program?

Hi @@LHommeDeParfum . The cloned drive of another PC will not work. The windows Key on your cloned drive will not match with the Windows Key in your PCs Bios. You could buy a new Key from Microsoft, or use an external drive enclosure plugged into your PC USB port. This will capture the Windows Key and match with the key on your PCs Bios. Let me know if this solves your problem.

Hi Kiwi Flowers, you must be sure the connection to the old HDD you are replacing are the same as the SSD you are replacing it with. They must match or your in trouble. You should be able to find this information for your specific PC online from the manufacturers website. SSDs tend to be one of 2 types, SATA or M.2. Your old HDD will probably be SATA (unless your PC is very old). You can open your PC and check the connection. If they look like the one I fit to the Asus in the video, it will be SATA. The M.2 SSDs are connected directly to the motherboard and are super fast but they are only found on new high end PCs and will never have been connected to a HDD.

They also don't spend a lot of time at the tables or serve / look at what you need at all times, except in places that have the American / European influence such as hotel buffets, etc. There if it is normal to receive tips. That they are offered those hot pot is a form of gratitude for the good service, since the waitresses can obviously eat that food that will be better than what they will give you at lunch / dinner. I only know Shanghai & Beijin so I can't say much about how it is in other cities or small towns in mainland China. But sometimes transfer large data like Blu-ray movies and work with large office word files. The Pc is now in the technical service for noisy working issue. They will replace the cooling fan. I wanted to upgrade at the same time via IT. Since it's all in one Pc I can't open it all by myself. Only RAM and storage units can be upgraded. I want to upgrade and change 16gb RAM with "CORSAIR 32gb (2x16gb) 2400mhz DDR4 CMK16GX4M1A2400C16", 128 SSD with "SAMSUNG 970 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD 512gb" and lastly 1tb HDD with "SAMSUNG 860 Pro 1tb 560mb-530gb/s Sata3 2.5" SSD (MZ-76P1T0BW)" *I made the selection of parts with very limited technical knowledge. Hi timucin pusat. Your computers motherboard will dictate what you can install. The M.2 storage goes directly onto the motherboard and if you have no slot for it to fit into, it won't work. As for RAM, that again is down to your motherboard. You need to go to the motherboard manufacturers website for this information. If you have your operating system (Windows) is on a 2.5 HDD, changing it to an SSD will improve your PC. However, to use it as a storage system for large files that you are not editing would not be cost effective. It may take longer to transfer these files onto an external HDD but it will be cost effective. However, if you want to use an editing program to work with these files, having them on an SSD would help you.

Hi again. this link gives you some information: www.asus.com/uk/All-in-One-PCs/Zen-AiO-Pro-Z240IC/specifications/ You appear to have a USB 3.1 Type-C port on the outside of your PC.. That is a very fast USB, connection. If you want fast storage, you can plug in an external 3.1 C SSD. The type C port is the type of connection you get on new top end mobile phones. Also the rating of your RAM appears to be a max of 16. That is 2 x 8 = 16, not the 2 x 16 that would = 32. But please double check this with the Motherboard specs to be sure.
