Exactly. This video brought me to tears. In 1991 my big brother and I, me 19 and him 21, went to the local Chevy dealer and on the showroom floor was a brand new red 91 Corvette and a black Camaro. I was looking at the Vette when he pointed to the Camaro and said this one has a back seat..if you ever get a girlfriend. One day before his 22nd birthday we were t-boned by a drunk in our 85 K car. He was killed and I was injured for life. Last year I bought a 91 Camaro RS just like the one we saw that day. I know that emotion he's feeling. It's not just the car. It's the images of his brother alive and well. Great video guys!

A couple of comments. First, I’m so happy you guys got a new sponsor. That’s fantastic. You guys deserve it. Second, I have a suggestion for you. I think it would be great if you would either put it in text on the screen or comment during the video every time you use a product on a vehicle and tell us what the product is, or at least what its purpose is. I’m always wondering what you’re spraying or using on the car. At the beginning of this video, for instance, you sprayed the vehicle with something and I am wondering if it’s an iron remover or what exactly it is. It would be so much more helpful and informative if you would let us know. Thanks!

I know this guy that does detailing with many years of experience, he does wonders. I've asked him many times about which products he uses but he tells me that its top secret. So only he knows where he orders his products. I really don't mind him not telling me. He does a grrreat job on every car he works on 💯 my respects. I think 🤔 he does a better job than these guys but then again they're still very young.
As a viper owner (2003- 3rd Gen), it breaks my heart to see one in this state. Come on man, how much does it take to throw a tarp on the thing? BTW, this black example is a 1st Gen (1992-95) - No door handles, soft plastic removable windows, after-thought removable roof - a real bare-bones sports car - The “spiritual successor” to the Shelby Cobra.
@d_dawg052 жыл бұрын
Yep, never a car that wanted to kill you more than a viper, if you’ve ever driven a viper you’ll know that the car has no feelings for what it does to you, and it will lose traction if you so much as look at it wrong. One of the best street cars, but also one of the most dangerous due to the sheer lack of traction control, anti lock brakes, or stability control at all.
@brandon65722 жыл бұрын
Honestly. I consider myself a car nut. I own a 2006 GTO. Unique car. Gotta love the Viper! Anyway. I've watch plenty of episodes of coffee walk with Dennis Collins he buys plenty of barn finds ect. All the time he mentions how covering cars when they are outside are a lot of times worse. He actually says to not cover them. I was shocked myself. In these situations they should probably just throw up a portable harbor freight carport.

Excellent video! Regarding the question You asked at 5:20 ... I'd try to get this car back into best possible technical condition but I wouldn't repaint it. I'd try to keep the character it gained over the decades, incl. all that peeled off clear coat. Besides I'd try to do my very best to protect the car from corrosion, e.g. renewing body-cavity sealing. There are some cars that simply look good and / or appeal to my sense of taste so much that I do not care in which optical condition they are ... which means I simply see the design and feel attracted to the design itself. There's some car designs which are so unique that I simply love the design and the shape and therefore do not really care anymore about the optical condition at all. First and second generation Viper is one of them.
@devernpinnock81762 жыл бұрын
I'd restore it from top to bottom. Have it repainted reclear coated. Replace the rugging in grey and put a hard convertible top instead of the soft top it will protect the inside better. I think that's what the brother should do. That would honor the other brother. Keeping it in disrepair isn't a way to honor the brother. Also I think the speakers will have to be replaced. Also all those dash pieces are gonna have to be replaced or painted. Have the engine looked over check for any rust on it as well as the chassis or other suspension systems.

The reinstatement of the car also reminded me of the memories of the man with his father. Tears from her longing for her father. May God not separate anyone from his family. Good luck to you 👏👏👏

A simple tarp would have prevented most of the damage. This is an expensive car and it should have been taking care of.

Tarps trap moisture. The car would have been rusted and covered in mold.

Still all time favorite car. I remember seeing these in the show room when they first came out brand new. I was obsessed with them from that point on and still to this day. Absolutely Love them!

There's so many broken parts and parts in really poor condition in this car, I'd definitely go for a full restoration. Keep it stock, maybe put some nice wheels on and enjoy this great car.

Have you guys thought to look into a steamer? It would be so helpful for spots you can't get to with a cloth.

Love classic cars started when I was a little girl, Mom and Dad had a mustang loved that car. Really like the muscle cars, and used to really love racing too, my Daddy was a real motorhead, a machinist for Pratt and Whitney, had grown up around dirt tracks and yeah Daddy raced too. I miss him he passed 16 years ago.
