Shame the car let you down, looks a great track to learn with all the run off area around the track.

Nice to see you back. Shame about the limp mode. Been my nightmare with most of my previous German owned cars as well. Good luck fixing it 👍🏽

Sorry to see your first track day went wrong Sam at least it gave you a taste of the experience.Stick with it though bud I reckon once those issues have been ironed out the little Clio will be a lot of fun on track 👌

Unfortunately there's no such thing as a track car on a real budget, and your timeline was super tight to prep the car, first road test the day before was never going to end well! Stick with it I reckon as when a little Clio is truly setup well, bang for buck not much can touch one for fun on track

The temp gauge looked dodgie so could have put the engine in to limp mode. If the signal lost. The ecu has no clue and on cold start and to put the fan when the engine temps get high.

is your thermostat stuck open? your temperature kept dropping which means the coolant is constantly cooling the block? or is it a connector to the dash that is loose? either way best of luck with finding the issue, i hope you stick it out with the car, i own 2 of these but have not had that issue

Just some electrical gremlins. Water in the fuse box. Has run perfect since 😬

well thumbed clios are not the way forward. I had a Twingo RS, cost me £1800 did 14 track days and 2500 miles, 35 hours on track, Only needed brakes. Bin your Clio, get something else. You've essentially wasted about £350 by doing that track day. /VOE.

should have refunded you 50% back with weather like that.

You really can't do track days on the cheap. You chose one of the most unreliable crap cars in the world too. Look forward to seeing the bonfire when you set light to it lol
@simonlewis262 жыл бұрын
Have you noticed all of your problems have happened on wet days, you need to do your up most to make sure that fuse box in the bay is dry! Going at all. The spades with electrical cleaner and sticking some dialectic grease everywhere wont do it any harm. People buy these cars, and claim they are unreliable French crap when in truth the owners haven't a clue. Give any of the other brands 18 years and they'll have similar issues
